When Brent comes out of the elevator, there’s a painting on the wall that caught my attention. It’s divided in three panels, it’s called “The Garden of Earthly Delights”.

Hi Brent! Another great video! Thanks so much for this lesson!
The white thing the owners gave you as snack is a famous processed cheese called Polenguinho and that black pan is used mostly to prepare omelet.
You were lucky not trying the juice, it was guava juice for sure.
Leme and Copacabana are almost the same neighborhood, the borders aren't clear. What a view that apartment have!
    Thanks again!

Hello there, I believe this is changing. In my part of Brazil we toss toilet paper in the bowl and flush it down. We still have the bins but use them for things such as cotton swabs and dental floss.

Also, the floor squeegee is quite handy. I like it better than the mop because you don’t need no wringing out, but you do need to have a drain in the floor which I believe is not common in North American homes, right?

No one in my entire family and also in my husband’s family have that little bucket by the toilet. We just throw the paper into the toilet and flush it down. The problem is that some Brazilians still have that old misconception that if you throw the paper in and flush, the toilet will get clogged.
Our pipes and sewers can take care of it perfectly well. Just think, if that paper, so delicate could clog a toilet, imagine what would happened with some 💩.
