3/23/22 Just checking out your video on the MM 645 like you I owned a MM 330 twin lens sold it and picked up 2 bodies and several lenses, plus 2 x converter and filters. Its format is like a large 135mm framing, plus you get 15 exposers on a 120 roll, the main issue is that the 645 at first did not have an exchangeable back like a Hasselblad. even those somewhat compact it can weigh quite a bit with the exposer prism, the handle, and depending on what lenses your using. I purchased mine for event taking, like weddings and sports. It does give great negatives and the format is a little bit harder to get prints made due to the format where the square 2 x 2 format was seen more in the days of medium format. It was a great studio camera on a tripod plus worked well with flash. The camera itself is well made with thought to the layout of its features, the only negative Con I can think of it gets quite heavy towards the end of the day with the accessories in normal use, the135 MM SLR cameras and film got better during the release of the Mamiya 645 and most consumer went with the 35mm cause of the camera size and pricing.
I was surprised to see that a lot of your pics did not have a great tonal range either in black and white or color and a lot of burnt-out highlights. You seem to need more practice in the composition of images as many of them lacked interest in the subject matter. The more you shoot the better you should get.

Thank you for the feedback. I appreciate your comment. Check out on of my more recent videos and let me know if you think I’m progressing. To be honest I know I am still learning to shoot. But for the most part am testing cameras first 2 rolls. And then start taking shoots more for my personal use. Don’t always want to take my time shooting and then have unusable photos. Which has happened to me

I know back when I had a Hassy 500C I did not care for just walking around, hand held shooting with it. It really felt more like a slow down, use a tripod, take your time sort of camera and the configuration of the 645 is similar with the waist level viewfinder. For medium format I now use a pair of Fujinon GW690 and GSW690 rangefinder cameras in which eye level shooting just seems nicer for more casual walk around shooting. Maybe try the tripod, take your time approach with the 645 and see if that increases your enjoyment. BTW, good eye on the classic car shots. Really liked the way you captured them.

True at the moment I just bring a film camera with me everywhere I go and "document" what I see. Not quite street photography but similar. I recently inquired a Mamiya Six foldable hoping to have it be my go to for this. Check out video I post today, use tripod for the c330. I do need to slow it down at times and use a tripod though. New video idea! haha

Picked up one of these last year with the same 3 lenses and absolutely love it. I have yet to shoot it with the AE prism, I love the WL finder and the AE prism makes it too heavy IMO, but if you're not inspired by the camera you won't enjoy the process of capturing images. Best of luck finding a camera that fits your style better.

Thanks Alex. I ended up buying a 645pro TL. AE set up but will need a waist level finder soon.

@@danieldijo Yeah, I got mine a few years ago through a friend and before everyone started the price surge. Bronica SQ is a good alternative or even a TLR...less $...

Yeah thanks! I was looking into that. But long long term dream of mine is to shoot hasselblad and also by a digital film back they make! I’d have to go 503 but getting goosebumps just talking about it.
