Damien has such a soothing voice, Angels and Archangels has been my bedtime story for a few weeks, it makes for a wonderful experience as he is the narrator. 93
He does have a pleasant speaking voice. Imagine how strong his spirit must be. To live through such a ruthless existence for 18 years and come out of it with the countenance of a monk is quite admirable.
I was suffering with ghost problems for years. New ones were constantly in and out of my space and I never got a good nights sleep. I tried everything (herbs, incenses, smudging, prayers, talking to them, ignoring them, etc.). This ritual was the only thing that cleared my space and allowed me safe sleep. I had to do it every night for 2 years, but now things are just better overall.
I did the same thing.. Lived in a very haunted House… however if i forgot it one night.. And my family we could not live there.. but It worked personally for me! I even had to do it in my Dream once
Oh thank goodness this exists! Ive been into magick for a few months now and it’s been hard for me to do this ritual without forgetting all the steps and stopping to read the instructions every few seconds. This’ll make it much easier!!

I lost my right arm a few years back, & am very new to high magick or any magick for that matter. However through an odd series of "coincidences" that came with one hell of a "rollercoaster" ride, I find myself running into or being drawn towards kabalah, & Golden dawn related subject matter frequently, the more I learn the more it seems it's been right in front of my face most of my life but my upbringing/environment had placed blinders over my eyes.... well to keep it short I'm not looking for power or riches, just Protection, Balance & Wisdom, & if I can give something back to those around me (or the universe for that matter) then that will be a plus, just curious as to whether my right arm & shoulder being completely gone will be an issue & if so what steps should I take to overcome my minor inconvenience. Any feed back will be greatly appreciated. Still searching for a mentor. But am very weary about who I will learn from. In fact I'm still looking into Damien Echols & so far he seems like a decent guy with good intentions... Btw, the midnight gospel brought me here, Duncan Trussel truly created something magickal there.
AFAIK Damien would suggest you do the ritual with her ethric hand. Your astray body is still totally in tact an so long as you move with intention touching your shoulder with your astral/ethric are should be enough

Your experience you described finding high magick is strangely similar too mine, right down to the midnight gospel. Personally im quite intrigued at the connections between magick, contemporary religion and ancient religion and the origins of man. In his book High Magick Damien says you can use whatever hand feels right. I recommend the book highly, great exercises. Honestly kept feeling like i was being directed by something in me but i dont feel comfortable saying magick was/is guiding me. You seem to of had a similar experience to me so ill share a personal insight. I think a lot of the ritual is really about faith/focus/intent. In the sense that the symbolic actions are kinda like tools for the mind to focus it and create a positive feed loop that reinforces your belief in what your doing. I Think this is why it is important to "do what works for you"... its not the ritual its you. Your reinforcing your "imagination" or your spirit with action on the physical plane.
These rituals aren't completely set in stone, if you've read damiens book high magick "if you haven't i strongly suggest you do, as im also new to magick due to the midnight gospel" He proposes that you can chop and change the ritual as you feel, to make it more efficient for you. If he says to use your right hand but you really feel like you'll benefit more by using your left hand, then use your left hand. Its not the physical aspect of magick that works, its our divine consciousness.
The cool thing about magick you discover. You can do magick without even a body. I am not joking btw...I know some would think that is a joke. It is not. I hope you find your spark friend.
The most important part in ritual magic is about the correct visualization, imagination needs práctice, so it will be good to learn but useless to practice
Just to mention, this is orignially a Golden Dawn ritual (late 1800s) but the places of air and earth on the seal used in the image are switched from what many golden dawn systems use -- earth in the north (left hand, Auriel) and air in the east (in front, Raphael) are I think more the common attributions.
Been trying this about 3am when I wake,I have to make my bedroom my magik /world between worlds space place until another is prepared because the energy in there built up but I feel been lost and is not ready ..anyway when I do this usually when I wake at about 3am ,I visualise my self standing but am laying down but visualise the chi comeing down and through me like a peaceful lightning bolt ,lately I always fall into a dreamscape type sleep at the very end of the ritual...I experience guidance and visions that I have to think about then realise it’s guidance of things I know I must do..it’s always pleasant and an alternative life ,is this place the world between worlds ,sometimes they are incredible dreams of flying,in space time all sorts..I know I’m no expert but maybe im going into meditation..but today I’ve been incredibly strong and confident..I have not been doing it every night but notice a difference ..I feel energy flow through me like when you get a rush at a rock concert or proper 1991 type rave ..is this chi energy..it. Feels invigorating..anyway whatever I’m doing it’s helping me..I still touch my forehead ,hips etc and put my arms north south and say the words etc
I’ve been practicing low magick since I was 11, I’m now 36 and didn’t start getting into high magick till a couple years ago, and really started studying the qabbala. I knew about the LBRP for a few years, but didn’t start practicing it till I knew I was spiritually ready.. I just did the LBRP for the first time and plan to do it every day, starting today. I just did it and felt an intense amount of energy, but then after I was done, I felt very light-headed, it felt like my left rib was being energetically stabbed, my heart felt like it was burning and my right foot was all cramped up, which is the foot I stomped to seal each direction, but I wasn’t stomping hard or anything.. Is this a normal feeling? Does anyone else feel weird body aches after doing this in the beginning? I’m also feeling weird zaps and jolts... 💜🦄😸
The body should be in a fully relaxed state before performing any energy work. Israel Regardie and Damien Echols both recommend the Relaxation Ritual (which can be found in the book The Middle Pillar by Israel Regardie), but I personally prefer 30min of Hatha Yoga and some box breathing.

Just tried this,this morning in my bedroom lieing down in bed tho but still turned east n west lol..but decided to visualise it mostly with my legs 🦵 bent towards the ground.. I visualised it well ,when the north angel was mentioned in the guided meditation (can’t remember the name )...Micheal maybe ..,I started to see a face ,...when uriel mentioned south ,I think I got a shiver of energy through my body..even when I say his name (not all the time lol)..but mostly I feel energy..now today I’ve been in good spirits ..now a few problems arose today ,which would of anyway I just didn’t know the plans for today...I’ve been able to deal with them ,when before I feel I would not of been so strong..it’s like a daymon/or demon was lurking but has bounced of me..whatever this is ,I do think it’s helpful..better stand up next time ..I have learnt something helpful nevertheless...I still said the words and did what the guide said etc

If you wish to do this in secret for reasons that you don't want anybody to know like your religious family or just friends , possibly even other psychic magic enemies and you wish to keep your magic in secrecy can you perform this banishing ritual and absolute silence without saying a single word? Also if for some reason if you have a disability and you aren't mobile can you do this while you are laying down in bed, have trouble standing up or even moving your arms? Does the visualization matter if you have trouble holding images in your mind? does the image matter as long as you place emotion and feeling?
Witchcraft and energy work is here for anyone to access if they have the desire and intention to do so. It does not stop working due to a lack of voice, a physical difference or a situational/environmental impediment. We ARE witchcraft. No more acid for me and I don't know if it's because I'm legally blind but I never really have good trips on mushrooms. I think psychedelics only make me feel more aware of the physical pain that I am in LOL so I'm sticking with more meditation

Whats the difference between Magik and other esoteric forms of ritual and practice (buddhism, yoga, Puja's etc) He mentions having studied those other things Im just interested in why some people favour Magic, is it just because it more of a Western practice or do people feel like this is the (for want of a better word) real one (like people who believe their particular religion is the right one?)
I been doing this for several years, but let me said something. It’s very frustrating how in different books and different teachers there’s different elements assigned to the angels, specially RAphael and Michael. In some books Raphael is Air or Fire. Here apparently is Earth. Also, this is a Invoking a Banishing will be from East to North and then West and south and not invoking the angels. Have I been doing this all wrong all this years? Cause at this point I’m just very very confused

Do i have to do magic with this ritual or just do it to have the power im not ready for magic atm Is there any time of day in which this ritual is unsafe?
I do this everyday I try to buy it's all new to me my visualization isn't what I knows it can be I know it's happening but I try to invite in the morning, and banish at night. So do I still do the middle pillar as well? I'm trying to see the chi if gets brighter I just can't see the cooler it's supposed to be what do I do if do you have any good for me. I know just keep doing it I'm going to do that this is my purpose in this life I just havent learned the crystals and other things it's alot im 39 yesterday I got a later start but I'm still gonna figure out my place. I've been performing the LBRP consistently for a few weeks now and recently got a cold from sleeping in a draft. Should I still continue my practice? I don't really want to break the consistency, however I'm not sure if it's slowing down or draining myself healing process.
Banishing removes stagnant "dead" energy, invoking creates an influx of new energy to raise your vibration (your kundalini). The reason your using the elements is because your made of elements. You start in the east because the sun rises in the east. The whole symbolism of this ritual is the sun (which is you). I think Regardie explains it in The Middle Pillar.
Can anybody tell me if there is actually an element in this ritual that is the ‘banishing’? And what is banished? As far as I understand there is only the invocation of the Archangels, which is the opposite?
The drawing of the pentagrams is the banishing aspect, it clears all negative influences out of the space and out of your aura. However, doing this is pointless by its self because once the magick wheres off all the old energies come back in, which is why you have to evoke new angelic energies to fill the new space.

@@JDevianceJ In this case I was referring to the 4 elemental angels you invoke in front of the four pentagrams in the lesser banishing ritual. I'm still only beginning with this stuff myself. I think that there is a "supreme" banishing ritual of the pentagram which I have not done where you draw a white spirit pentagram and a regular blue pentagram over it in each of the four directions, I'm not clear on what the difference between the two rituals is in terms of effect.
How and why does He add the Scribe of God Metatron who isn't even an Angels as He name does End in El and the other dude who is that and where did He come in? In My 20 years of doing this ritual I have never heard of this way, personally I do the Golden Dawns version.
Metatron is the top of the tree of life and sandalfon is the bottom. It's just a way of closing out the circle three dimensionally. I personally don't like it either.
Quick question: When visualising ourselves drawing energy from the universe through our bodies and into the earth, is it the very earth (floor) under our feet or the whole planet itself we're filling up?
Do you need to undo the ritual after performing whatever magic you do? Or do you just go about your day when done. In witchcraft, they cast a circle and then perform magic, and then they undo the circle and release the spell.
That's what Damien did... right? Raphael in the East, wearing golden robes with moist Spring air. And Uriel in the North, wearing green earthy tones bringing in Winter, representing the Earth. Did I miss something?
I wondered that as well. The image seems so carefully constructed it's hard to believe it's just a mistake, but I've never run into the switching of Raphael and Uriel's elemental attributions anywhere else.

I love this, i was taught LBRP 10 years ago and the teacher rushed through it, a simple version. This was excellent,

Just did the MP and the QC right before I came here. I am veritably crackling with energy.
Just to mention, this is orignially a Golden Dawn ritual (late 1800s) but the places of air and earth on the seal used in the image are switched from what many golden dawn systems use -- earth in the north (left hand, Auriel) and air in the east (in front, Raphael) are I think more the common attributions.
Yup. It was mentioned at one point that the image used here isn't accurate to the ritual.

Been trying this about 3am when I wake,I have to make my bedroom my magik /world between worlds space place until another is prepared because the energy in there built up but I feel been lost and is not ready ..anyway when I do this usually when I wake at about 3am ,I visualise my self standing but am laying down but visualise the chi comeing down and through me like a peaceful lightning bolt ,lately I always fall into a dreamscape type sleep at the very end of the ritual...I experience guidance and visions that I have to think about then realise it’s guidance of things I know I must do..it’s always pleasant and an alternative life ,is this place the world between worlds ,sometimes they are incredible dreams of flying,in space time all sorts..I know I’m no expert but maybe im going into meditation..but today I’ve been incredibly strong and confident..I have not been doing it every night but notice a difference ..I feel energy flow through me like when you get a rush at a rock concert or proper 1991 type rave ..is this chi energy..it. Feels invigorating..anyway whatever I’m doing it’s helping me..I still touch my forehead ,hips etc and put my arms north south and say the words etc

I’ve been practicing low magick since I was 11, I’m now 36 and didn’t start getting into high magick till a couple years ago, and really started studying the qabbala.
I knew about the LBRP for a few years, but didn’t start practicing it till I knew I was spiritually ready..
I just did the LBRP for the first time and plan to do it every day, starting today. I just did it and felt an intense amount of energy, but then after I was done, I felt very light-headed, it felt like my left rib was being energetically stabbed, my heart felt like it was burning and my right foot was all cramped up, which is the foot I stomped to seal each direction, but I wasn’t stomping hard or anything..
Is this a normal feeling? Does anyone else feel weird body aches after doing this in the beginning? I’m also feeling weird zaps and jolts... 💜🦄😸
The body should be in a fully relaxed state before performing any energy work. Israel Regardie and Damien Echols both recommend the Relaxation Ritual (which can be found in the book The Middle Pillar by Israel Regardie), but I personally prefer 30min of Hatha Yoga and some box breathing.

Just tried this,this morning in my bedroom lieing down in bed tho but still turned east n west lol..but decided to visualise it mostly with my legs 🦵 bent towards the ground.. I visualised it well ,when the north angel was mentioned in the guided meditation (can’t remember the name )...Micheal maybe ..,I started to see a face ,...when uriel mentioned south ,I think I got a shiver of energy through my body..even when I say his name (not all the time lol)..but mostly I feel energy..now today I’ve been in good spirits ..now a few problems arose today ,which would of anyway I just didn’t know the plans for today...I’ve been able to deal with them ,when before I feel I would not of been so strong..it’s like a daymon/or demon was lurking but has bounced of me..whatever this is ,I do think it’s helpful..better stand up next time ..I have learnt something helpful nevertheless...I still said the words and did what the guide said etc

If you wish to do this in secret for reasons that you don't want anybody to know like your religious family or just friends , possibly even other psychic magic enemies and you wish to keep your magic in secrecy can you perform this banishing ritual and absolute silence without saying a single word? Also if for some reason if you have a disability and you aren't mobile can you do this while you are laying down in bed, have trouble standing up or even moving your arms? Does the visualization matter if you have trouble holding images in your mind? does the image matter as long as you place emotion and feeling?

@@ellisajankowski7890 definitely trying the way of meditation and the occultist LOL I'm 29 years old so I feel that Terence McKenna psychedelic approach is taking a toll on my body. No more acid for me and I don't know if it's because I'm legally blind but I never really have good trips on mushrooms. I think psychedelics only make me feel more aware of the physical pain that I am in LOL so I'm sticking with more meditation

He did this on his first appearence on the podcast I took this clip from but it was over the phone so the audio is terrible. Just look for "Sounds True: Insights At The Edge" Podcast with Tami Simon. It's about 20mins in.

Well this ritual was carefully designed to work in conjunction with the elemental angels, but you can do whatever you want.
Whats the difference between Magik and other esoteric forms of ritual and practice (buddhism, yoga, Puja's etc)
He mentions having studied those other things Im just interested in why some people favour Magic, is it just because it more of a Western practice or do people feel like this is the (for want of a better word) real one (like people who believe their particular religion is the right one?)
It's more suitable to the Western constitution. Read the first few chapters of The Mystical Qabalah by Dion Fortune for a more thorough explanation.

I been doing this for several years, but let me said something. It’s very frustrating how in different books and different teachers there’s different elements assigned to the angels, specially RAphael and Michael. In some books Raphael is Air or Fire. Here apparently is Earth.
Also, this is a Invoking a Banishing will be from East to North and then West and south and not invoking the angels. Have I been doing this all wrong all this years? Cause at this point I’m just very very confused
Well if you want the OG ritual then look it up in the black brick, but I think Damien's version is much better. You could also check out The Magick of Aleister Crowley by Lon Milo DuQuette, that's obviously his take on it.

If you're not ready than don't do it. Even this simple ritual, when done correctly, can have very powerful effects.
I do this everyday I try to buy it's all new to me my visualization isn't what I knows it can be I know it's happening but I try to invite in the morning, and banish at night. So do I still do the middle pillar as well? I'm trying to see the chi if gets brighter I just can't see the cooler it's supposed to be what do I do if do you have any good for me. I know just keep doing it I'm going to do that this is my purpose in this life I just havent learned the crystals and other things it's alot im 39 yesterday I got a later start but I'm still gonna figure out my place. Could someone please help me with the elements? In other sites I've seen the east being interpreted as fire because it is where the sun is "born" and seemed logic to me... but here east is representing air... could someone explain me the background of this please?

I've been performing the LBRP consistently for a few weeks now and recently got a cold from sleeping in a draft. Should I still continue my practice? I don't really want to break the consistency, however I'm not sure if it's slowing down or draining myself healing process.

What effect does banishing or invoking each element have? What is the purpose of starting at one point as opposed to another?
Banishing removes stagnant "dead" energy, invoking creates an influx of new energy to raise your vibration (your kundalini). The reason your using the elements is because your made of elements. You start in the east because the sun rises in the east. The whole symbolism of this ritual is the sun (which is you). I think Regardie explains it in The Middle Pillar.

Can anybody tell me if there is actually an element in this ritual that is the ‘banishing’? And what is banished? As far as I understand there is only the invocation of the Archangels, which is the opposite?
The drawing of the pentagrams is the banishing aspect, it clears all negative influences out of the space and out of your aura. However, doing this is pointless by its self because once the magick wheres off all the old energies come back in, which is why you have to evoke new angelic energies to fill the new space.

@@JDevianceJ In this case I was referring to the 4 elemental angels you invoke in front of the four pentagrams in the lesser banishing ritual. I'm still only beginning with this stuff myself. I think that there is a "supreme" banishing ritual of the pentagram which I have not done where you draw a white spirit pentagram and a regular blue pentagram over it in each of the four directions, I'm not clear on what the difference between the two rituals is in terms of effect.
How and why does He add the Scribe of God Metatron who isn't even an Angels as He name does End in El and the other dude who is that and where did He come in? In My 20 years of doing this ritual I have never heard of this way, personally I do the Golden Dawns version.
Metatron is the top of the tree of life and sandalfon is the bottom. It's just a way of closing out the circle three dimensionally. I personally don't like it either.
They are both angels. I prefer the sphere to the column.

Quick question: When visualising ourselves drawing energy from the universe through our bodies and into the earth, is it the very earth (floor) under our feet or the whole planet itself we're filling up?

Do you need to undo the ritual after performing whatever magic you do? Or do you just go about your day when done. In witchcraft, they cast a circle and then perform magic, and then they undo the circle and release the spell.
Just repeat the ritual afterwards if you like. Damien personally doesn't recommend it, although he tends to take more risks with his magick.

That's what Damien did... right? Raphael in the East, wearing golden robes with moist Spring air. And Uriel in the North, wearing green earthy tones bringing in Winter, representing the Earth.

I wondered that as well. The image seems so carefully constructed it's hard to believe it's just a mistake, but I've never run into the switching of Raphael and Uriel's elemental attributions anywhere else.
