In Gina’s solo song, I noticed the same problem she had throughout the entire show - she has so much difficulty conveying emotion. Obviously she was able to do it in that Back Door performance, so she definitely has it in her, but she has trouble accessing it. She’s still really young so hopefully she can develop that skill
I agree. She dances well but there's always something lacking and that is showing her true self and should be conveying the essence of the song through her emotions and facial expression. She can smile but can't match her expression with the song back in her individual performance in A2K Korean bootcamp.
I study theater and acting, and I confirm the first two points. Believe me, security, self-confidence, and stage presence give much more than a natural talent in singing or dancing. It's like in acting, if you don't give an intention to what you're saying, if you don't give emotion, no matter how well you memorize a script and do what you have to do on stage, you're not going to convey anything. also show your own personality and charisma makes a big difference, that's what jyp its looking for. Plus, usually no one notices when you're wrong unless you show it. Don't be nervous and don't be scared, everything will be fine. When you make a mistake about something, pretend you didn't do it. Don't make it obvious that you were wrong or criticize yourself badly, on the contrary, show that nothing happened, don't stop and continue until the show ends. 4.- Yes! Just like in acting, in dancing and singing we use our ENTIRE body. The whole body needs to look alive and energetic.
Well imo if your still a minor and if you live in a diffrent country like far from korea than maybe you should wait some time but if your almost and adult and thats wat you want to do in life and you really believe in yourself that your dream will come true than i think you should go for it!
im pretty sure auditioning as a minor gives you more chance to be accepted, if you're a adult most company's see it in a way that you will most like end your contract very early, and keep in mind 21 is alr seen as ''too old'' to debut in Korea, So auditioning as a minor is 100% smarter, the best age is around 15-16 imo.@@wonyettee.
3:49, it's not really chest voice sometimes, camila for example she quite use head voice but she impose the voice in a way that sounds like chest voice. That's what some people call it "mixxed voice" but hitting notes completely with chest voice if you don't know what you're doing, well, maybe you can end with your vocal chords completely strained for a whole week lol. Well, I think she did already videos explaining this hajdhahdah, love you for all your content Irene
Hi❤ please could you make a video about how can people from outside of Korea audition? For which companies? What are the ones who cover all your expenses? This is for the ones who have no financial opportunities or no support from their parents, please😢 btw love your videos
Hi! I was a trainee back and I lived outside of korea at the time I auditioned. Although I gave audition in korea but you can try to apply for auditions through global auditions online or just regular auditions online. After you pass your first round, they'll ask you to come to korea and if you don't have financial support to go to korea, they'll manage a zoom meeting but it's rare because they only do this when they really want you as a trainee. Companies that are foreign friendly are jyp, sm, rbw, starship, hybe and fantagio. All companies cover your trainee living expenses but you have to pay all those debt off once you debut with your group or as a Soloist but the big3 which is yg, sm and jyp don't have trainee debt system so you'll be free of any expenses but it's really hard to debut there
I wanna try out but I’m not Korean/Asian and especially since JYP already has a global group I doubt I’d ever be able to make it if yk what I mean, I also don’t think anyone would be able to style my hair if I became an idol since it’s thick n everythingg plus I’m not that great at dancing anyways 😭
Heyyyy ,.... gurll you need more like!!!! Like this is the content i kinda look for cause i really wanna try my luck in audition but something ALWAYS stops me~ Anyways can you made something on recent auditions cause the last once have crossed their deadline.... thankyou really appreciate your efforts ❤
About the "acting" Kendall does, how do I "learn" that? When I film myself dancing I always see how I lack energetic movements, detail, and facial expressions. Even when i absolutely love the song and dance I never seem to see myself smiling. How do I "learn" the acting attributes? Should I watch YT videos for acting or is it different?
It's the song ,convey the songs message thru emotions. That's what Kendall is doing at what Gina lacks . Like you can't make a sad face during a happy song and vice versa . Internalize the message of the songs at put it's words into emotions .Not just face but in movements as well. Like in everyday life, if you are upset how do you usually move? Slightly aggressive right? Those kind of thought process
1) Read through the song's lyrics line by line, phrase by phrase, word by word. Think of what each part means, and develop a different facial expression for each section. You can start by reading silently, and changing facial expression accordingly per section. (Easy mode: Section by line; Harder mode: Section by phrase; Difficult mode: Section by word). Write each different expression under each section (e.g. "reflectively sad", "hopefully happy", "bitterly determined" - notice each expression in the example has at least 2 descriptive words; having at least 2 descriptive words per expression will help shape the nuance, depth and specificity of what you should convey.) 2) Now that you're used to changing facial expressions more rapidly and distinctively between sections, read through the song's lyrics again. Think of the psychological and emotional line of logic behind the lyrics. This should be a connecting line of thought that "connects" and strings each different expression together, so that each expression makes sense in the context of the expression before, and the expression after. Each expression should be a consequence of the expression before it. (E.g. "2 Different Tears" (that Gina covered) has lines "Waking up with teary eyes / I can’t do this no more"; "I can't do this no more" should be a result/reflection of "Waking up with teary eyes"; you're saying "I can't do this no more" because you've been "waking up with teary eyes" - so when you sing "this", think specifically of what you're referring to for "this" (i.e. the waking up with teary eyes). 3) Underline some key words that you think the speaker/singer/character (because yes, you perform as a character on stage - whether that's a more dramatic version of your real self or as a completely different person) of the song would emphasize or feel strongly about. Their "trigger" words. Identify these words not just by reading the lyrics but also listening to the song and melody (the melody and beat should be emphasizing certain key emotional words). (E.g. using "2 Different Tears" again, there are lines "So I think of all the pain you’ve given me / Try to look at all the damage you brought to me / No matter how hard I try, I just can’t figure out why" - some key/trigger words are (first tier) "pain", "damage", "how hard", "can't"; and then (second tier) "think", "given", "look at", "brought to", "try", "why".) Make sure you shape the corresponding expression more strongly/emphatically for these keywords/"trigger" words. One way of practicing is also to just sit down and film just your face while the song plays. Then replay the recording while muting the sound, and just review your face. Your face and facial changes should be interesting enough to capture the viewer's attention even while the sound is muted, from start to finish. This way of improving expression also applies to dancing - your dancing should also follow the outline (the "line of logic" and general narrative shape) of the song in expression and in emphases/keywords.
Express your love of the songm take the time to consider what the song is actually about. Take the time to understand the emotion that you feel froom the song. It could be happiness, sadness, or even anger. Once you understand the emotion it will come naturally in your singing and dancing. A good tip is to pretend you singing and dancing to someone that makes you feel the same emotion as the song
Hi Irene! I just attended the JYP offline global Toronto audtion and I was wondering how long it takes to get an email back? TYSM for the helpful video ^^
I think at least a week, and at most a month (maybe 2) but that's based on what I've heard. I've done 3 online auditions for JYP and got the email that they saw it for all three, the first one was 10 days after I auditioned, the second time was 1 day after I auditioned, and the 3rd time was 5 days after I auditioned
@@simqjeon1967 I advise to wait at least 2 months before auditioning again. Otherwise they would think you're not taking it seriously and just auditioning without improving yourself after not getting accepted the first time. And they might put you in their spam list if you audition twice around the same time. As for a limit; I think the only limit is until you're selected or when you feel you don't want to be a trainee anymore.

Hi I would have a question firstly what company do u recommend ,I wanna go to yg since im a rapper and I fit yg standards and what they want but idk also why does yg ask for an address when im applying for an online audition
I really don't recommend yg tbh they rarely debut groups and even if they do, they debut groups after like 7 or 8 years. Companies I recommend for rap are: Pledis, Starship, Rbw, Pnation etc
so i have a question. do companies really pay for your flight ticket and deal with visa if you're worth it? and if so, which companies are the most common and which ones are less common, like would they simply lose a worthful trainee just because they won't pay for them..?
(anyone can answer) Also thank you in advance Q1 do pretty privilege works in auditions mostly jyp like someone has 100% kbs but average talented does she make it Q2 do looks really matter in jyp too

I hava a little question. Can choose thire own K pop idols songs, raps and dances to auddition as an example Eg:-If I auddition to JYP csn I dance their own idols song like wannabe dance from itzy For another example Eg:-if I auddition to YG can sing or rap from blackpink songs😢

2. Looks are a big factor in the kpop industry but if you don't have talent, jyp won't take you in just for your face. Even their visuals are really talented
@@imjgil thank you so much have a good day

No. They'll mostly likely report you or block you for spam. I recommend auditioning every 4 or 6 months to get their attention

Are you a trainee?
Thanks sis!! Sarangheeeeeee 💜 pin me pweaseee 💓
can i use microphone while i'm singing in jyp online audition?
First😊
Jyp is very wrong cause they only see the beauty no talent
So camila and lexus and the rest aren't talented?
Just becuz kendall doesnt look talented doesn't mean she is not talented
She managed to show her stage presence a lot. I doubt her dance is bad and her vocals prob arent bad either even if they arent the best.
@@aniki3856 and what about Cristina?
@@issabkhan6026 who knows? Ask jyp
So far gina and Kendall were always talked abt stage presence and expressions
As for Cristina i only remember jyp talking abt this spice that she required. What he meant he knows
@@aniki3856 yes but still for jyp only beauty matter
@@issabkhan6026 then he wouldn't have put talented members like Camila and lexus
In sixteen years ago, jihyo was being called fat by the other judges and chaeryeong was once called ugly but he still chose them for their groups
Don't just assume based on one choice about his whole ideals
