I am a fixer too my birthday is August 26th. My daughter a cancer june 21st she does that silent sulky treatment and refuses to allow a repair just shuts me out or if I am not the one she's upset with and is telling me about a conflict in her life and as a fixer I want to repair and she just wants me to listen without any advice it's so uncomfortable

Mind you... it might cause some minor marketability issues (lol), but it would definitely call out to a certain type of person... 2- I really really really like this lady. And not just because she shares at least a half dozen of my best traits... lol There's no way she's 70 here tho! Almost did a spit take when i heard that... tbh if i had to guess i would've been *at least* a decade earlier. And I'm usually good at that game! That being said... as one of those who have been blessed in this way... so far at least... (oh don't envy me too much -- pretty sure that's the universe's way of balancing all the other crappy hands i got dealt lol) i believe what was said here is not only relevant, but maybe the biggest key next to lucky genetics and physical discipline (exercise, cautious sun exposure, healthy lifestyle etc)... I think having a youthful mindset counts for a lot. Hell I'm about 43 going on 15. That's not to say I'm "immature" per se... i mean when i was actually 15 i was probably more mature than a lot of the kids around me, and I'm pretty sure I've packed on a fair bit of wisdom over the last 3-ish decades! But to me, what that really means, is a careful preservation of that state of excitement and wonder. That absolute yearning for knowledge, and experience. *That's* what being young is really about, IMHO. That and an eternal hope that something good lies in the future, and that it's never too late to find a new and interesting road we haven't been down yet... That is what truly makes the young "young at heart" IMHO... and if that's where you live, i think the outside is more likely to align with the inside. But staying active is super important too. Both physically and mentally. Especially the older you get. You need stimulation. ... and NGL but i guess I got blessed with some pretty genetics as well lol. Mind you i also inherit a propensity to pack on weight from one side of my family, and a predilection for altering my consciousness from BOTH sides... (on top of the ADHD, anxiety, codependency, and a bunch of other stuff ... but I'll be damned if we don't look GOOD while being that fucked up... 🤣 )
