2 years, only because I was also actively working and going out of town for work every other month for weeks at a time. Overall, the labor is probably about 3 or 4 months on paper.

Where are you located? I have a 2002 IS300 sportcross that may or may not need new engine. It was a great car up until I gave it to my daughter. I would really like to fix it and make it my daily driver. I just don’t know where to take it. Thanks.
Hey man, love the video. Quick question since i have a 2001 IS project happening at the moment and literally have same goals. What FFIM are you using? It appears to bolt right onto the lower plenum. Also @27:53 you can't get anymore real in the excitement after all that hard work!

My pops did it for me, he just kinda made it work on his own. I have an extra unmodified GTE intake manifold for sale if you're interested. DM me on Instagram for pics.
Depends on compression test and cylinder leak down test. If everything is gucci, just make sure all service is up to date. Hoses, belts, gaskets. If you want to be extra cautious, pull the head and drop in a OEM 2JZGTE headgasket and ARP studs. After that, make sure your fuel system can supply the demand and get a good tune.

That's a GTE upper modified to bolt into the lower.
