As someone who cleared JEE Advanced this year, I can confirm that the competition was on next level in 2023. The paper wasn't at all very easy (same level as 2021). I managed a four digit rank (just under 10000) only after scoring 126 marks - the same marks at which you'd have got around 7500 rank in JEE Advanced 2021. The competition is increasing exponentially. Would like to say only one thing to 2024 aspirants - please prepare strongly!

All the best, chote bhai. If you don't want to do MS from foreign, you should have taken IT/CS only, because you'll regret at the time of placements, since that will be your goal, to get a placement.
@@commenterdek3241 I know bhaiya. But the college is IIT Kharagpur. Not some Bhagawan Vishnu Institute. And my interest lies in Physics. My branch (Manufacturing Science, Department of Mechanical Engineering) is mostly applied Physics. I love that. Still I will try to do branch change, as I love Statistics too. And I'll do MS from foreign if I need it, I don't have a problem.
And foremostly, a professor of CSE, IIT Kharagpur, is the son-in-law of one of our neighbours. He himself said that compromising CSE for IIT Kharagpur was an outstanding decision. I have talked to him. Won't reveal his name.
Whatever, average package of my branch has been 14+ LPA this year, with the highest being 43 LPA. That's better than CSE of IIEST Shibpur CSE's package. Also I read that almost everyone was placed.
Edit: I would have taken CSE in IIEST Shibpur, if not this.

Before NEET people were getting admission based on their board exams
So people who whose parents were labourers were also able to go to govt school study for boards and get good marks and get a medical seat
After NEET the same person who got good marks in their boards didn't get a medical seat because he didn't get the qualifying marks
They didn't get neet cut off coz they don't have the money or resources to go for coaching institute and prepare for NEET
This is based on a real incident where a person in TN got 97 percent in board exams but didn't get a medical seat because they didn't qualify in NEET
IN TODAY'S SCENARIO
LETS ASSUME TWO CANDIDATES WITH GEN CATEGORY
one guy gets 529who is poor and other gets 149 and is rich
Let's consider the cut off for govt seat as 550
Now the elegibility for getting a medical seat is 120
In this case when private colleges charge hefty fees like 50L -60L
Obviously the poor guy can't join and he quits while the guy with 149 marks just because he is rich gets the seat
Now you tell me how is this justice
Ps: him being rich is not a problem , I am not against people being rich , it's their talent and etc that is fine
But I think the govt should standardise the fees for all colleges
It's not like the human body that you learn in your private institution is different from a govt college
Govt may increase the fees for private college but it should be reasonable

couldn't get into iit this year so i'm taking nit and let me tell you, the competition in mains and advanced increased drastically this year. the rank inflation made us lose our minds. so to any future aspirant, study as much as you can!
a few mistakes that i made:
1) i focussed on my coaching only.
it would have been better if i watched online lectures and completed the chapters beforehand.
2) skipping advanced level exercises in your modules- a big sin!
3) not reaching out to teachers for help? forget cracking iit-jee!
4) not giving jee advanced pattern mock tests- a crime!
5) believing that you don't have time! never!

Bhaiya how to manage time to solve advanced level exercise of module ?
One thing is for sure maybe many students know about jee and neet and how to participate in these examinations, what's the criteria and all, but there is literally no well known platform which can tell about the other Olympiads for normal students who are not involved in any coaching. Many talented students generally miss their chance to participate in some well known olympiads which only certain coachings have info about.

Not all generals are rich and not all st/sc obc are poor all i want is to remove reservation and look through income of the bread earners of the family cause it's hard for someone from a small town or undeveloped state to compete against those who live in metropolitan cities who have lot of resources and opportunities

uncle ji ko bolo heere chahiye ya sc/st ke vote.NEET is so extremely tought for general category that even a person with 610 marks couldn't get a government college. agar ab independence ko itne saal ho chuke hain then i don't find a need for reservation anymore. and the private colleges are so very expensive( around 60 lakhs to 1 crore) that not everyone can afford them.

JEE is tougher than CAT as per exam syllabus difficulty but it's tougher to get into IIMs because they consider everything, not just test score, and have 5 layers of reservations against a GEM Fresher non-ews candidate in comparison to 3 layers in JEE seat allocation process. Also, the exam is taken by graduates, i.e. more mature test takers and there is a full GDPI process too, which is very tough. So the above four factors make going to IIMs (or equivalent MBA colleges) tougher.

@@gokuvegeta9500 @gokuvegeta9500 surely adv paper maybe tough but no.of medical seats is way less (1lakh) but for engg we have many state cet's also this year around 23 lakh people appeared for neet and it is the most competitive and most underrated exam , a doctor not only studies for 4 years like engineering he studies 15-20 years and then becomes a good doctor
My sister got 93 percentile in CAT without much preparation and easily got IIM Raipur. It's way easier than JEE in all respects, what you on bro?
@@chaturyas9363If you are interested than it takes less than 6-8 years but people choose MBBS cause of peer pressure which they should learn how to avoid and choose what they are interested.....The are competing against them who are interested so you can calculate if you would get a seat or not....

I think it would be better to evaluate Computer Science Aspirants with a Coding Entrance. Rather than things that they won't even use 10 percent in their whole career deciding their fate.
Computer Science is not all about coding as well. I'm in final year, and I have hardly had 2-3 subjects of coding, rest courses (total is 45-50 subjects) don't involve coding.

4:37 Good degree gets you prefered in life , Bullshit . Having a good degree will get you good life is a 40 year old mindset . Degree is just a piece of paper , it doesnt decide if you get preference in life related to anything (job etc etc..) your Skillset and Knowledge determines if you get prefered or not .
Nah mate degree does get you preferred in jobs you can look at any previous iitian interview mam be after 30 years or graduation it may change but a degree from good college definitely gets you preferred in life (but not saying degree is the only thing that gets you preferred)

@@thatfadedguitarist4418 yes agreed to some extent that degree can matter in certain jobs and certain sectors for eg. Medical or like you said IIT on in some other sectors . But not everywhere not in "life" degree matters because there are hell lot of things you can do in life and live the way you dream of . If you will become a pro musician in lets say the next 10 years ,people wont ask or see if you studied music or have a degree/any certification in music theory , they would want to hear you based on the kind of music you produce .
