How to Plumb and Install a Hose Spigot with PEX

- We got a new Eley hose reel and wanted to place it on a wall that didn't have easy access to a hose spigot. Check out how we run an Uponor PEX line from our existing plumbing to the new hose access for much easier use of the hose reel.
Nice. You've actually changed what we're gonna use to add a spigot to the other end of our house.
Thanks for this video. Shows how simple it is to install Pex.
Nice video you two 😄. It was informative and I love to see couples working together with smiles and laughs..Thanks for the laugh!
Great video! Made me laugh a bunch of times. I think the entire jugular clip was my favorite.
Very explanatory thanks for this great video with added comedy. This could be a thing for you guys
Now I feel confident to add a T to our Pex line and install a spigot on the other side of our house. We bought a 100 year old house that only has one spigot on the most inconvenient side of the house. Our addition has all Pex from a modern build😯
Awesome video! You two are awesome to watch. Can you post a link for the PEX expansion tool?
That’s the reason I don’t like colored pex. Your situation is different because you’re installing it on your own house and it’s going to a hose Bibb so there’s no mystery as to what the line goes to. However as a plumber it’s frustrating when you think you have a hot line and it’s cold. When you only have white pipe, it forces you to label it during installation and to investigate fully when repairing it. Good decision to go with uponor. It’s defiantly the best pex on the market in my opinion. Another positive is the fittings have the same inside diameter as the pipe because the pipe expands over the fitting. With crimp the fittings are smaller than the pipe because they go inside the pipe. This creates a choke point at each fitting.
Why would you not always use red for hot and blue for cold?
@@emilyclark9043 ideally you would. But there’s been times when the supply house doesn’t have one color or if you’re in a time crunch and run out of one color. There’s lots of reasons people do it
you did a good. However I like to see Expansion PEX Inlet Anti-Siphon Wall Faucet installed instead of a regular spigot.
Nice video. Great work. Thank you for the upload.
Put a little foam in the hole to seal it off. Thanks for a great video.
Nice video. I hope you live somewhere warm though or you’ll have to drain that spigot every winter. Should have gone w a self draining silcock at the outside wall.
Pex is pretty freeze resistant since can expand so much.
We live in FL
Nice job guys
Bro you are whipped!!!
Love that mandolin/ fiddle tune at 2:24. I don't know the name of it, so I will call it Horse Fly in the Butter Churn, unless somebody gives me a better title.
Nice clip great team with install.:)
I dont want to sound like a Debbie Downer/Mr. know-it-all, but it might be a good idea to install a shut off valve for that spigot. We’ve had trouble at our house with ours bursting and we’re going to install a shut off valve and make sure the pipe is slightly angled down towards the end near the valve and spigot so the water can completely drain out when we shut it off in the fall. Hope all is well!
You should have explained how to install pex to copper pioe
Excellent info! THANKS!
Love your videos, keep them coming! :-)
It appears she's the Boss lady...;)
Great video, well done!
Dang she's cracking the bullwhip right off the bat. We see who wears the pants in this house.
Please put another j-hook on the other side of that huge tee for your bathroom you tied into! I almost had a heart attack seeing it hang down with all that weight on it. I never use those huge tees because if it breaks you’re repiping all of those lines and that’s no fun.
Because the brick isn't a facade. Double wall is the norm everywhere but the US.
Is your garage insulated ? If not will uponor pex freeze during winter and my last question how much did you end up spending total ?
"This doesn't feel good." 🤣
I hope you live in an are were you don't get frost as you need a sillcock valve that shuts the water of inside the house and avoids frost expansion damage
oops. Drill through the brick. Never through the mortar!
It’s just instincts to buzz the drill a few times before going
Great video - what size drill bit did you use? Would you mind linking it if you bought it online?
Peeing in your pants is cool "Adam Sandler voice"
Very Good!..
What size pex are you using?
Cool video. What about and internal shut off for the winter months?
Is it possible to to what you showed except using a standard garden hose instead of PEX?
Should have used rotary hammer drill
Pantalones con pipi 🤣🤣👍❣️🙏
Two things that are wrong with your install. First, you used red PEX which indicates hot water - should have used blue or clear. Two, you should have located the spigot to the left so it looks aesthetically pleasing, but that’s preference. Also, I didn’t see an anti-siphon fitting.
@1:27: wow he seems so scared of displeasing her, about pooped himself when he accidentally made a noise and then went completely docile until receiving explicit instructions to continue. Sad.
lol he redeemed himself at 8:14
a glimpse of who wears the pants 👖
have you ever used sharkbite fittings on Pex A
No, we have only ever used this method of installing Pex.
Hope you live in the deep south because that line will freeze.
Spigot ***
Isn't "Red" for hot water?
You can see what he has to deal with when it comes to her
This will freeze and won't last these are not meant for outdoor use the valve is to close to the outside the water in the line will freeze and burst
Florida dude
Red PEX is for hot water. Your house, your rules, just not code-like.
1st off that women has control issues that need to be felt with. 2nd PEX is not for outdoor use that install isn’t to code in most areas.
Bad advice
