You two are the BEST antidote to cold, grey end of February in the North weather. The opposite of blah 🎉. Your excitement is contagious, I was laughing out loud at every squeal of joy. Lovely making plans, will be fun to see how much you do! I am always a bit sombered by how little I can make - despite realising on the other hand that it is quite a lot. Weird. Your classic Sarah and Paige colors at the end were the best! Lovely all around!
@MadebyMel has just added to her Japanese series about using Japanese patterns. Also Fruity Knitting has an episode about reading Japanese patterns. Good luck, it's a beautiful design ❤️
Thank you too I am a new netter adventurous beginner. I’ve crocheted since I was nine and I’ve been knitting for a year. I’ve made a tank top and two pairs of socks. I’m on the second pair almost done and you guys are a lot of fun and a lot of inspiration. keep up the good work, I’m learning a lot about Yarn with you too so that’s really good
When I broke my arm 7 weeks ago, I thought my world had ended and then I found your podcast and as soon as my arm healed enough I was back knitting, very slowly and some what painful but I managed. I am now 1/2 way through a petite knits zipper jumper using BWM woodlands in the colour heartwood and it is knitting up amazingly and I have already purchased the to wool to make my husband one the woodlands yarn colour Fog. Your energy about knitting is so contagious and I love watching your videos. ❤❤❤
All of these patterns are to die for! Definitely some added to my queue... For the japanese pattern, Athena Liu here on youtube has a playlist on how to read japanese knitting patterns / charts that has been really helpful for me and it's a lot more intuitive than you'd think! Definitely excited to see how all of these turn out!!!
I wasn't expecting a video from you today and was so happy! I'm excited to see all of those projects come to life! I KNEW you (Sarah) were going to make the Step by Step sweater with that Poppy Yarn and tbh kinda want to do the same thing... Also how brave is Paige, making things from patterns that aren't in English! I've made a few projects from French patterns at the beginning of my knitting journey and it was a struggle, and French is my first language lol... but I'm sure you'll succeed 🙌
Thanks so much 🥰 I love that we can be into such different things but still be so inspired by each other (and that it provides plenty of options for any interested parties out there)
I so enjoyed this episode! I loved both of y'all's color palettes! So beautiful! I vibe with Sarah's so much as a fellow ginger ❤ and I can't wait to see Paige's ribbon vest. I am fully invested in that journey! This was my first episode and I've already subscribed. So in love!
Thanks so much 🥰 Yeh look there are colours that I just need to stay away from and others to lean into. I'm just glad I've worked out what they are now and can hoard yarn with confidence that it's gonna suit me. We were looking at the ribbon vest pattern the other day and I have a feeling this is gonna be a real saga...
I just cast off the Lumme sweater and it’s such a blast to knit! Used knitting for olive heavy merino in a gold color for the colorwork with a navy main color. Can’t wait to see yours!
This was JOYOUS to watch! I’m in the eye of the storm with my masters at the moment and this really calmed me down/cheered me up after an anxiety-filled week ❤
I love your podcasts. You’re my favourite Aussie neighbours. I love that you also introduce me to new yarns like Bendigo woollen mills yarn that if I buy them won’t kill me with the postage and also make me feel better about my hauls of yarn from Norway. And squee I’m going to Norway in October so I may end up explaining to Customs that I’m not planning on selling any of the mountain of yarn I plan to buy.
OMG go with a purse and an empty shipping container to bring back all that glorious yarn, so jealous! I've just cast on my Clay sweater and 6 rows in I'm already so into this Bendigo Woolen Mills yarn. Thanks lovely 🥰
Love watching your podcast! My friends have made the dartmoor as a vest. No finishing on the sleeves, just bind off! It looks great. So Paige maybe make the dartmoor as a vest and the cove as a full sweater.
Yesss, more Alone people!!! I feel like people fall into two camps, those that know and are very into Alone, and the uninitiated. The second Australasian season is coming out soon and I'm keeeen.
@@twopurlsinapod Yas! I need to actually finish the AU version... I've binged all the other versions of it! They are SO fascinating to watch! You're totally right though, it's a case of either knowing "Alone" or not....
Ugh it’s such a sad truth. The other option is just giving up full time work which really eats into my knitting time but feel like that would create more problems than it solves…
Just found you both through this video and love your dynamic together! So bubbly and very engaging. This hour absolutely fly by and normally I avoid longer podcast episodes.
You two are seriously the cutest!! Love seeing what you have planned - all the squishy yarn - all the excitement & squeals of delight! Just nothing but love for you both! ❤❤❤ I’m working on a color work vest & I’m sure you two will keep me motivated to keep plugging along as well… PS The hand made tote bag - best gift ever!! 👏😍❤️
Just finished a sweater in Sailor in the Dark the day I watched this episode, and I panicked it was too dark as well, but it turned out beautifully - you won't regret it! Love your podcast:)
Omg every so often I just binge a whole season. It’s so good. The Australian version is kinda different in the challenges that they face, but such a beautiful landscape (but I’m biased). If I’m not careful I feel like my style could become very “alone-core”.
I just finished a sweater with the Bendigo Woolen Mills Woodland 8 Ply in River Sand and I am IN LOVE with it! The massive skein is so satisfying too, just watching it get smaller and smaller.
Thanks for the lovely episode! I've been contemplating buying the chestnut cardigan but so scared to commit to it... Please share your progress on it!!
Thanks lovely 🥰 I've still not got much to show for it but thanks for the nudge. Might do another few rows and bring it along. It's so exciting to see the pattern and the colours growing as I chip away at it.
Lovely to see your shared enthusiasm about each other planned projects and yarns 😊 as for the baby cardigan, I do think your friend's baby won't care if it's labeled as "for girls" even if it's a boy. Our society decides what is "for a boy" or "for a girl" but in the end people should where what they like, and since a baby probably doesn't know what it likes yet, just knit the pretty little cardigan *you* like and it'll look nice no matter if it's a he or a she. 🙂
Thank you both for another lively episode. For some reason my comments from this episode and previous one are not appearing. I hope I haven't been banned. :) I just wanted to let you know that Mel makes stuff podcast has some great content on Japanese patterns. I hope this comment makes it.

Happy knitting from a fellow Melbournian😃
