@@flutebasket4294 weird since it was a du hast song and yet i remembered almost all of amv's that used that song also got copyright claimed but years later the audio cameback and this one didn't...
I think this song works really for the video clips you put together here. It felt like it gave the movie a whole new life and almost made me feel sad for the Kurgan.
Best Highlander EVE-E-E-E-ER!!! Beats the tv-show! Love Clancy! Can't believe it's Mr. Krabs driving and running around and fighting like mad there. If I was a great action movie star I'd much rather be the number one big bad guy than the great hero. Besides; there can't be a great hero without a great villain to beat. It's the big bad guy that keeps the story going. If there wasn't a bad guy, there wouldn't have been much of a story now would there?
Yeahh, but that's a two-way street. Remember freshman english class: A protagonist drives the plot forward, while the antagonist opposes the protagonist.
Ah no, I'm just seeing this is a kind of personal video. Excellent, this mix. I saw the movie I was 16. I lurned to know Rammstein I was 40 ... and the best ever is The Kurgan
Sad Man They want to, but it's been in development hell for years now. Last I heard they needed a new director after the original quit and the guy who was to play Connor also quit shortly after. So odds are it will probably get canceled like the game they were making of it that was supposed to come out in 2012 for PC and PS360. Even if it does get made, I doubt it will be out any time soon.
LordMalice6d9 In the 21st century, Hollywood is unimaginative and corporatized. The art form is desecrated by greed, the crassness of the porn star business mentality. They make movies for profit, to satisfy the investors with box office success and mass appeal.
DAM GOOD JOB!!!!!! I thought the music was going to suck at first....but really surprised me!! This is one of my favorite movies and this video is a great look at it!!! Keep up the great work!!!
"Hast " is the "du" form of the verb "habr," which means "to have"... "Du hast mich" means "you have me." It's a love song, I don't care how those poseurs try to translate it....
My favourite movie villain of all time and hugely underrated performance. I have always wanted his skull outfit (from the Scottish battle)...must be the ultimate fancy dress get up!
Regardless of what reasons they had for using that particular background, the "Kurgan culture" is a hypothesis regarding an actual prehistoric culture of horse nomads which originated in what would later be southern Russia, and who (according to this hypothesis) are supposed to have spoken the proto-Indo-European language. Google "Kurgan culture" or "Kurgan hypothesis", or look it up on Wikipedia. ;)
The Kurgan was very briefly mentioned on one episode of the Highlander series; such a pity they never revisited the issue by having a cameo in a pre-1986 setting or the like
If you can tell me what the Kurgan has to do with the curse of HAM(they reference in this along with in Startrek, Fringe, Back to Future/Buckaroo Bonzai/Matrix/Jupiter Ascends/what they are threatening to do by removing Hamilton from the $10 dollar bill which is an esoteric TT or double cross especially because of the relevance to Cronus which is why clocks are set to 1010) or the Scythe/Sith/Hittites etc. or the Taurus/Scorpius cross I can help but if you have no idea what this is then you have a ways to go good luck. OC
the video is awesome - being a german myself i really like rammstein, but in this particular case, the original score would have been better i think...
I had read that the Kurgan and Remirez had learned of a prophecy that told Kurgan would fall before the Highlander that's why he hunted him down to try and kill him before he was immortal and trained
Honestly...one of the greatest films ever made..its just one of the most badass concepts i've ever heard in my life hahah. The kurgan is such a kickass bastard..i was so stoked when he showed up in LOST
@Highlander01 But what about that scene in Highlander III where Kane had started attacking and suddenly that glass pane shattered? Those Buddha statues looked almost like they were glaring at him, warning him against continuing the battle.
Clancy Brown (Kurgan) doesnt get nearly the credit due - he's a great actor and been in a lot of films over the years.. Shawshank Redemption etc etc- he was such a BADASS in this movie.... scary character, and im not sure anyone could have played it better than he did.....
But thats just it, Conan is badass with out having to be immortal, pure flesh and blood who defied all including gods, demons, and even women who wanted to tame him LOL!! As for epicness Conan united the entire Hyborean world through conquest before he died, Epic. But the Kurgan was one of the best villains ever. ...sigh...I love these teenage style arguements, makes me feel like a kid again
Its ironic how Clancy Brown looks actually looks like the old Kurgan physical type too. Long faced, chiselling chin, thin but muscular build and high-headed. Ironic.
well i'm american and i love russians. i think sometimes how they're depicted is like say Esther in Orphan but i think that's the Spetnaz rep. honestly i love famke as Onatopp in Bond and Viggo in Eastern Promises
It always pissed me off in Highlander that they never showed enough of Connor Macleods clan life just the short stint in the castle then the battle and then he gets booted from the clan. Its really too bad thats the best part of movie
@TwistedWithin Lambert is a very good actor. I think he did a good job for this movie, not to mention he did an excellent job as Raiden in Mortal Kombat. He shouldnt have done Highlander IV though, his age was showing there too much
@Briselance hold on. Remember, Kurgan disarmed MacLeod. Just because Mac didn't physically have his sword in his hand at that point doesn't make Kurgan a coward. He could have killed MacLeod in the church, but he obeyed the rules...he's got more honour than say, Kane (Highlander 3), who callously attacked MacLeod on holy ground. Take JacobKell (Highlander: Endgame), he killed Connor's mother, Rachel, then went after Duncan just to get back at Connor. Now thats cowardice!
Goddamnit... why must excellent scenes of battle between man and beast be ruined by music? The fighting is the music. The steel, the footfalls of the warriors, the cries of the horses, that is the music.
Oh yeah! Being a villain like that can be so constricting and time-consuming. Villains are people too, who have the same feelings to explore and find themselves!
Originally I was to be an extra in this battle scene, but the director said people wouldn't believe the Kurgan could kill me or get by me to get to McCleod, so they had to cut me.

Man, The Kurgan's outfit in the first scene is fucking godlike
He does have a pretty cool screen presence.
Later in the film, when he shaved his head, you can see a tattoo of that awesome bear skull helmet on his head, too!
Great Interpretation. Neither did the sequels or series ever capture the brilliance of the original....
Brilliant clips from an excellent film and great music score aswell
Great flick. Great scene.
What happened to the sound?
Twenty years later, he is Mr Crabs!
Such a pity that the sound is gone now. This was an amazing video back in the day. Damn copyrights.
Yeah! This is literally one of the first UA-cam videos I ever saw and I used to return to it routinely. I guess OP got copyright struck

Incredible video! It is perfect. Wow! The Rammstein song was perfect for it. Thanks for sharing this.
dude!! this is the best ever i love this song (in english and german) and i love the kurgan!!!!
Clancy Brown rocked as the Kurgan - no one could have kicked ass better than the Kurgan!
Ah no, I'm just seeing this is a kind of personal video. Excellent, this mix. I saw the movie I was 16. I lurned to know Rammstein I was 40 ... and the best ever is The Kurgan
@WolfySnackrib666 thats a good call! never thought about that myself.... it would be an awesome back story!!! thumbs up
Clancy brown was awesome in this film!!!! I also understand that there was pieces of film lost in a fire that could never be shown.
HE WILL BE A EPIC OF EPICNESS IN WARCRAFT 2016
this film its.. its .. just indescribeably beautiful!!!
Long live the Kurgan!
+Winter Steele I live!
Did you guys know, the Kurgan is MR. Crabbs from Sponge Bob? Every time my daughter watches it, I hear the Kurgen and smile.
I can't believe they're going to remake this movie.
This is one of those movies that doesn't need a remake, its fine just the way it is.
Sad Man

I have just started on his armour...from the early scenes...with the helmut....
Definatly the best Kurgan tribute i've seen. Great job.
CLANCY BROWN IS SUCH A BAD ASS IN THIS MOVIE..
Such an awesome character. One of my favourite villains ever.
Agree, although this song is from the German band Rammstein.
My favourite movie villain of all time and hugely underrated performance. I have always wanted his skull outfit (from the Scottish battle)...must be the ultimate fancy dress get up!

good job kikki.
The Kurgan is AWESOME. Clancy Brown rules so does Rammstein!!

This movie was released at the highof the cold war.
haha I am Russian, and I live in the city of Kurgan!
badass
The Kurgan was supposed to come form the Russian steppes.
A Scythian.
Андрюха Джин Where is it on Google maps?
I'm the female version....and I'm Russian
+Kirsty Numinous Hard to think of a female Kurgan, but I am trying!
Classic villain.
Kurgan was screwed over! See, no one can't beat him in a one on one fight!
The Kurgan LIVES!
I can't believe how well the music went, made it hilarious.
haha love it nicely done
I saw Mick Jagger have a fight with Christopher Lambert once in London. I said hey you get off Macleod.
that's how he scores so many
This is AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!! Great job!!!!!!!!
He may not even have enough time to fully follow fashion trends, so yes, probably!

The kurgan is such a kickass bastard..i was so stoked when he showed up in LOST
Listening to Rammstein songs in english is like eating a hotdog on a burger bun, you just dont
watching this youd never think clancey brown (the kurgan was a sweet family man)
@Highlander01 But what about that scene in Highlander III where Kane had started attacking and suddenly that glass pane shattered? Those Buddha statues looked almost like they were glaring at him, warning him against continuing the battle.
That armor the Kurgan is wearing looks incredibly wicked.

"Fioght meh, Dammit!!" You gotta love the French dude playing a Scot.
Best. Bad guy. EVER!!!
The song kind of grows on you.
Sadly, he is too old now. Though I wish he was young so that he could do a prequel about the Kurgan's life. I would kill for that.
And this is the guy who later went on to voice Lex Luthor! Awesome!
He's clearly the Darth Vader of his age

Great movie, great villain ^^
Kurgan is the best mouhahahahhahaha
there can be only one !
He was also Dr. Neo Cortex form the Crash Bandicoot games. He does loads of voiceovers, especially cartoons like Justice League.

His armor is so awesome where could one buy that?
Originally I was to be an extra in this battle scene, but the director said people wouldn't believe the Kurgan could kill me or get by me to get to McCleod, so they had to cut me.
@TwistedWithin yeah, the series gives off that explanation eventually. Thing is, the movie itself never explained it.
@Uzuhl im just interested on what the hell did he kill to get that helmet
NICE!!!!
@notnormajean Did you know that Clancy Brown, the guy who plays Kurgan, is also the voice of Mr. Crabs on Spongebob.
I love Kurgan as a villain, I just hate that they tried to make just about every other Highlander villain exactly like him
best villain ever
Clancy Brown the most underrated actor in film today.
@EltonChong75 you could also call it luck that he survived the battle with Ramirez. I mean, 2 inches closer and he would have lost within seconds.
@Highlander01
Indeed. Indeed. You got a point.
What happened to the sound?
I did not see his head drop and the old scar was bigger than the new cut so that must have been only a small scratch to the big Kurgan
