KILLSWITCH ENGAGE - NUMBERED DAYS [bass cover playthrough]

Hey, it's Csaba here from Hungary, the bass player of Ektomorf and this is my brand new cover playthrough video. Killswitch Engage is one of my all time fav bands. I still remember listening to ALIVE OR JUST BREATHING the very first time. It was a real game changer for me and fell in love with KSE right away. The album AOJB was and still is a big influence on me. So i was super excited to share the same stage with them last summer at Reload Festival and finally had the chance to meet and chat with Jesse Leach, my hero. So after this amazing experience i decided that it's time to cover KSE sometime soon. Numbered Days was an obvious choice, a crushing album opener with an amazing structure and themes from start to finish. It was so amazing to learn and play through. Enjoy!

C'mon bro show us your rig,,,been trying to get the korn/coal chamber tone for years...idk if its your phone or mine but u sound all mids and treble with a smidge of overdrive.

Actually it's mostly lows & highs, but in the past 1-2 years i started to establish a relationship with the mids too, haha. Using lows&highs can sound great alone, but tend to disappear in the mix without mids. I used to reach the distorted feel by BBE MAXIMIZER when i used a real amp but since i've been using HX STOMP i use DARKGLASS for distortion.

@@csabillog u got a viewer in me man,,,you got one of the best tones alone I've heard on UA-cam I've been a bassists and guitarist since I was 14,,,I'm 36 now,,,but any tone tips are appreciated...I use a mxr bass d.i.....but most the time I just use my boss bass eq pedal. It's gave me a whole new dimension of tone.
