    great review, got it a few days back now, its great, only small drawbacks are VRR flickering but limited only in few loading screens (afaik thats a thing with all oleds atm), grayscale is worst than an ips for example on gradient backgrounds like many dark themed - sites again i think its common in all oleds. other than that some games needs getting used to, they seem darker but not really because now you can see all the shadows and black is black not backlit gray. the only thing that confuse me is the pixel cleaning settings . I usually turn of my monitor when not gaming and make my ips as main monitor, does the pixel cleaning run automatically? why couldnt they add a flashing LED or smth... also does it run EVERY time i turn it off? it seems that it does cause it takes a few minutes for the monitor to disappear on windows multiple monitor settings. in that case isnt that bad running pixel cleaning everytime you turn it off? what if you only use it for 1 hour, that shouldn't happen and so many screen refreshes wont they degrade panel faster? what about when you have a long session, should you manually refresh it in about 4 hours? or its it ok to skip it and just turn it off when ur done?

    • @PCMonitors
      @PCMonitors  23 дні тому +1

      The pixel cleaning cycle runs automatically if you switch the screen off, yes. But it shouldn't run every time, only if you've used your monitor for a sufficient length of time (several hours cumulatively). Agree some LED indication it was running the cycle would be useful. On the PG32UCDP (and possibly other new models) it has a section of the OSD which says how many times the cycle has been run and time since it was last run. Would've been nice to see on this one as well.

    • @PCMonitors
      @PCMonitors  3 місяці тому +2

      Per the review, it isn't used and you don't need to use it. Or if you apply it and it clearly looks 'better' to you (which is unlikely in this case).

    Hey there!
    Do you notice flicker with enabled VRR? I play PUBG and the flicker is really distracting and noticeable...
    Also, the text fringe is bad, looking like ghosting, which surprised me, because my laptop has qd-oled panel, where I can see fringing too, but it's not that noticeable, but the with the woled panel the fringing really bothers the eyes, just plane webpages look terrible...

    • @PCMonitors
      @PCMonitors  3 місяці тому +1

      'VRR flickering' is covered in the review, it's an issue with all OLED models and this was quite 'average' in that respect. QD-OLED fringing is less bothersome than WOLED fringing in my view, though I accept that's subjective - pcmonitors.info/articles/qd-oled-and-woled-fringing-issues/.

    • @purfecto
      @purfecto 22 дні тому

      i rarely see it in pubg, but there are in some cases, or even more noticeable in other games, imho if you have decent hardware, remove VRR from monitor - disable Gsync/vsync (if you also use that in conjunction with gsync) most of my fps games run stable at 200+ and i havent seen any tearing at all, so most of the time i turn vrr off and use it in fixed refresh rate NVCP, try it out and see if you have tearing, but this way you will eliminate VRR flickering 100% and have the best possible input latency

    • @attilaszovan
      @attilaszovan 22 дні тому +1

      @@purfecto Hey there, thanks for the reply!
      I couldn't live with the text fringing, so I've switched to Qd-oled, Samsung's 27 panel is just way in that regard.
      Flickering seems to be a general issue with oleds, switching VRR and G/Vsync off solves that problem and i haven't noticed any difference by using sync anyway.
      Your suggestions are good advice, thank you!
