This is exactly what I was looking for. Hot tub while camping. I was thinking maybe using propane and an on demand hot water unit. You even covered the water source and pump I was thinking about. I guess the only question I have left is, is it safe to drain the water back into the creek?
@XJeepSlaveX I meant the chlorine, bromide, or salt water purifier. If I was using chlorine, I dont know if that's safe to empty back into the water source. Especially in alpine lakes where I would be using something like this. I guess there's always a filter I could use before I dumped it...idk...just want to be 100% sure. I could see someone saying something now.
2024 , hi Shane thank you for the review. I was looking all over for a review of this article. I’m looking at buying one this year. I’m also from Alberta. It would be nice before I buy one or look into buying one if you could do an update from 2022 and, give a review after you’ve used it for a year or so thanks
Thats sick, I definitely wouldn't be using the bucket either, dang three batteries though how did you charge them with your car or did you bring three batteries
@@XJeepSlaveX just looked at it on Home Depot again. It’s not for salt water, brine, chemicals, or laundry water. But I’m not sure if that’s to cover their liability or if it truly cannot handle salt water. Thanks for the reply. Enjoy your hot soaks! ♨️
This was the 1st generation, the 2nd generation that recently got released end of 2022 has a Plastic Pole design that's much better. I'll me making a video of the new design in the year 2023! I'm excited
I thought yours looked different from mine - I guess I've got the new version. So far so good, the pipe-based frame is easy to put up and should be easy to replace parts if lost or broken, too. Just about everything about the tub is easy to repair. No idea if that was an intentional decision in the design process but I appreciate it given this thing will get exposed to plenty of abuse in the elements/camping/travelling/etc. One thing: Do you ever have cold water shoot back into the coil, causing the whole thing to shake and vibrate?
@@steve-adams doesn't the first version (blue foldable one) seem so much easier to set up? This is the one they originally promoted on their Kickstarter and I wonder if they still sell that version. I'm thinking about buying one but I've seen some complaints about the plastic poles.
@@oliversellman1927 I can’t compare it to the original design, but I’m able to stand it up in a few minutes very easily. It’s not challenging at all, and the end result is very sturdy. I haven’t owned mine long enough to have meaningful feedback about durability or anything, but the poles don’t strike me as a potential problem so far.
I love how strategic you are.
beer , wood, fire, hot water and the view, life is good.
Like those pumps... Best part of the review.. nice work
Thanks 👍
Great info about the battery life and time of fill up. Great review, thank you!
You're probably the first person smart enough to put rocks around the coil...
Got some beer in that cooler

I don't consider myself bio hazardous 😆 I think it's personally fine, can't be any worse then people swimming in the river

How did you fill the tub?
I would love this,

I'm working on it , hoping to have the new hot tub video posted this year
if it was cheaper and a fire pit rather than just the coil then this would be a hit.
Hey were in alberta as well and thinking on buying one, what is the diameter of pipe ?
I think it's 1.5"
Are you in AB? Looks wonderful. Did it get hot? Worth the $$$?
Yeah I'm in Alberta, i had fun with it! Prices went up slightly since 2022
Way over priced, backwoods glamping made a similar product but I think they went out of business

I pre charged before I camped out !
Fuck I guess I gotta buy one nomad has a bunch of bad reviews and a long wait so I'll pay extra for the salty barrel
Amazing review Shane! Going to get one of those tubs 🛁 I’m curious if you know of a portable battery powered transfer pump for salt water??
@@RoganRitchie I actually don't 🤔 Maybe the M18 might be salt water compatible?
