- Wandering Steve Solo sailing Cascaise to Porto Santo 500 NM Offshore passage. Waiting for the wind to shift to the North, which it is slow to do but when it does it builds dramatically.Trying to skirt a lightening storm.

Nice job Steve. Cracking footage in the stronger weather. Shows it quite well even though we all know it is bigger in reality than the camera can see. Good seamanship too with choices of course/wind direction and sleep patterns. Watch and learn people!

That part of the Atlantic is cold.
I have just spoke to Steve on the phone and he is planning on another attempt this September. He is currently working on his website and social platforms so that you will now get an un-interrupted update via UA-cam, Facebook and LinkedIn.

As you mentioned the Vancouver is a nice yacht for bluewater cruising but your yacht seems to handle heavy weather quite well.

No still not fixed the leak but I had the boat hauled out today at St Lucia so I should get it fixed over his week.
