Sadly it may have to go on pause until the next DLC as the views have been dropping over the last few videos. Regardless of views though I will have a video on the new DLC when it's out
@@Bokoen1 All videos except the last one with 110k seem to have around 170-180k views so not too bad, steel div vids average like 130k too but I find them quite funny even tho I don't play the game
"Part of playing a game should be trying to win it" said Swimmy, the man who starts every Vicky and EU4 game by shooting his neighbors and them himself.
I love your entire squad at 10:21 throwing nades at Swimmy's tank until it just can't handle it anymore. Swimmy's monotone "What did you just do." is like a cherry on top.
I will say I do love the sounds of the rifles and machine guns in this WWI mod. Usually in this game it's always the tank cannons you end up hearing. But with infantry being the focus here it's great to hear the new sounds they made.
I figured it was part of a mod because, well it's just wrong. Most tanks are flame-proof, especially anything post 1940. A flamethrower shot to the engine deck of a tank sustained for a few seconds would smother the engine and cause it to stall. Longer exposure and the engine might ingest the flame mixture and be ruined entirely. Catching on fire outright though, no.
@@Hunter12396 i would assume the fuel would seep in the cracks between the bolts and metal. that alone will turn the tank into a steaming hot mess causing the crew to bail out
mod author definitely needs to try and work more with ai to make them use trenches more and do trench assault tactics other than just a mass charge lol
if you don't already have a video filter addon, get one, and up the brightness by 50 for all the dark scenes -- you'll thank me later. (It's great knowing what in the world bo decided to shoot at)
fun fact. in world war 1. the idea of making rules for how war could be fought didn't exist yet, so war crimes didn't exist yet. you could do any sort of horrible thing and there was no repercussion for it.
The Hague conventions of 1899 and 1907 disagree with you, as well as the whole concept of chivalry and honour. Rules of war have always existed, because all side benefit from following them. Total war is costly and expensive to engage in. Sure, if you target enemy hospitals and medical personnel you might gain an advantage, until the enemy responds in kind.
@@fede98k54 bro, a "war crime" didn't exist yet. no one got put on trial for one before world war 1. there where guidelines, but they knew the person who follows them is at a disadvantage. so your mutual benefit theory falls apart immediately. wars in general have always been costly and chivalry was a way of life, not hard rules for war. they say war is hell because its just awful and anything goes. only after how horrible world war 1 was did we say, "maybe we should all agree that some of this stuff went too far." and BAM! war crimes became a thing.
This isn’t your normal World War II RTS game you use human wave tactics you can’t drive your tanks into the enemy line like you doing gates of hell normaly you use the tanks as meat shields for your men as they charge in front of your tanks
Alright so the WW1 mod isn't too balanced.... But it's got gas though...
E
It do have gas tho
Ain't got no gas in it.

Gotta love swimmy diplomacy.
Bokoen taking his tactical lessons from Blackadder I see
I’m sure sending a single tank in by itself will totally work this time!

It’s cool that the effects of flamethrowers on a tank’s engine is modeled in this game.
Men of war has that too and its pretty good for ambushing unsuspecting tanks

WW1 was just awful...
trying to play this against the AI can be hellish
Epic recreation
I've only ever played Men of War, but this seems extremely similar. Is Gates of Hell a mod? Does it use the same engine or something? Same devs?
It's the spiritual successor with the added mechanic of direct unit control
its call to arms which is a successor to men of war, and its a DLC for ww2 content. they're the same devs that made men of war assault squad 2
finally more GoH!!!
