  • Total Solar Eclipses are amazing astrological events that occur roughly once every couple of centuries in any given place around the world. On August 21st, 1932, a Total Solar Eclipse travelled across the Northeastern US, including Quebec, Vermont, New Hampshire, Maine, and Massachusetts. Vermonters and tourists were excited to view the eclipse, and ahead of the event, companies like Derick Studio of Orleans manufactured special eclipse glasses for them to safely view the sun.
With a new eclipse coming on April 8th, 2024, Museum Educator Danielle Harris-Burnett takes a look at a pair of Viz-Eclipse glasses that were used during the 1932 Eclipse.
