Never heard that superstition…. I would definitely grow on my neighbors yard if that is true. You are right eating on a banana leaf. Best thing is masala dosa with coconut chutney and sambar. Nothing can beat that on a banana leaf for me.
Since it will give only one crop per plant, our ancestors advice not to grow inside the house because it's like the plant we also have only one child. But nowadays all are having only one kid
