I love the way you treat fine silk fabrics like leather -- and it works! It makes me chuckle, too 😉. Such an elegant and simple design. After a few years' use when the leather has softened and acquired even more character... Well, you've a touch of design genius about you. (I only wish I were rich enough to buy from you!)
This concept would be interesting as a market basket and purse combo. Create a rectangular net basket like in this video and place a smaller, closable bag at the front or along the side for personal items, and leaving the rest as basket space for various sundries. You do beautiful work!

It let me remember I purchased froze foods, the clerk help me to put in microwave, then use this kind of bag in non-woven fabric to pack them in Taiwan. I was shock this small bag can combine functional and design together.

New things from Hahns. The leather one looks great, but the fabric one will be messy for newbies. although I have a sewing machine, lazy to do anything. my jacket needs a zipper change, and bought a zipper 2 years ago, but did not put it on the jacket yet.
I don't use machines very often either. Most machines are playing..... I got some idea. Rip the zipper right away. You have no choice but to start the sewing.

Such an amazing work on prototypes and so delicate design of the final product! It's your only second video that I've watched and my inner engineer is admired. ) I'd rather make all these lines using laser cutting technology. Tried it myself while making pincushion and result was excellent.
Could you pretty please show us how you make your templates? They are always so well made. Awesome work as usual! Also, perhaps punch holes at the cuts to prevent tearing? Perhaps unnecessary, just an idea.

If you are insane enough, you could make it out of kangaroo leather which can be up to 7 times stronger then bovine by weight and stitch all of the cutting surfaces.
Do you sell the bag patterns? I could see IKEA using/selling this as a fruit basket using a cheaper washable material. On a larger scale I would use it as a laundry bag….. You are so talented!

Can I ask why you choose to work with non-leather materials as if they were leather? I was very intrigued watching you glue down the lining's hems instead of sewing them.

I know this bag isn't for heavy items but is there any concern with the leather tearing or pulling at the ends of the cuts in the mesh?
The leather is very tough. Don't need to worry if it's not a lump of metal.
