To Gary....you wouldn't know good music if it bit you in your ass...Case is one of the greatest songwriters in the last 20 years. he lives the life...scars and all...left the world as we know it behind...guys like this are "lifers"...it's not an easy life...but like this song says...they leave us with songs that will last forever, and remind us of who we are, and who we will never be...that's as close to free as your gonna get. There's a lot of pain in freedom.
Love Peter Case----He takes down the roads that so many of have thought we should have traveled. But he's done it ---and he tells it like it it---the good, the bad, the sad, and the ugly----but it rings true!
He sure has changed looks wise, that you're right his voice has not changed one bit still has an amazing voice I could hear the old plimsouls coming out of him. I actually like this is a pretty darn good song I Don't Really Care much for folk music but that was a really good song by him
Peter's impressed me mightily for years. He's from my hometown of Buffalo, New York (the suburb of Hamburg) and while I was playing there semi-professionally and connected with most of the musicians, Peter was still in high school so we never met. He left for L.A. right after high school and I first heard of him when I discovered The Plimsouls in 2006. Which led me to The Nerves. Then in 2015 I discovered that my professional colleague was a bassist and that Debonee & her husband know Peter well. He's a musical treasure and for now back to the folk roots of his rousing Rock. I sure hope I get to meet Peter. He's an artist who deserves more than our great respect; he deserves lotsa rich royalties! -Doug Pratt, Atlanta, Georgia, USA
