Always looking forward to yours updates. Since we're basically growing rhe same palms. I was surprised by the damage, on those minors 😮 My fastest palms are Louisiana (Texas) Brazoria (NC) Bermunada(AZ) from seeds of course. Keep updating. Take care.☀️🌴👋
Thanks Alex! I think if the minors were in the ground they would have been fine. I think the roots froze up and then thawed too quickly in those small pots. Probably in shock. Yeah, we are definitely growing many of the same palms. I’ve really grown to like many of the Sabal varieties. Incredibly versatile palms!
i’m new here, and i found some of your latest videos by chance. i’m curious about the soil mix you’re using. what are the ingredients? esp. for bismarckia ones. i have few of them growing well here in indonesia (so no winters; only crazy amounts of rainfall) and i was thinking the ideal soil mixes for them. also some tips are appreciated, if any. thanks! (for reference, i use topsoil mixed with scoria, pumice, and bamboo leaf litter for my bismarckia soil mix)
I use Miracle-Gro Palm, Cactus, and Succulent soil and amend it by adding poultry grit (crushed granite) and pine bark for extra drainage. So far it's been working far better than when I tried mixing my own.
I use MiracleGro Palm, Cactus, and Succulent soil for the potted palms and add poultry grit and pine bark for extra drainage. For seed starting with the "baggie method" I use orchid moss.
Beautiful collection, always looking forward to new videos.
Thank you! Definitely more videos to come.

have you had experience with the delidding technic of palmseeds?
Not yet. Thinking about trying it at some point.
What growing medium have you used for your palms?
