I love that you guys upload so early in the morning it’s a great thing to wake up to. I woke up today to my tank SPOTLESS from algae cause the shrimp I added yesterday, made me so happy 💜💜
I have a strong hatred for noises like chewing, slurping, sometimes swallowing and I believe it's called misophonia? It makes my blood boil and I actually have to walk away when others are eating at times :(
Totally agree with the credit card scrapper, I have a telescopic razor blade scrapper, swapped the razor blade for half an old credit card, really cleans the glass of stubborn algae; as Hieu TV has said be careful cleaning near the sand bed.
I have the same pet-peeve: put things back where you got them from! Eventually Jason will wonder why he doesn’t like any of his tanks anymore... and not notice there is not a single plant in any of them.
Wow, I have the same general pet peeves! Repetitive sounds and mouth noises! Fish keeping pet peeves: as I am planting a new stem, and an already planted stem comes out. And I definitely hate when people use tools and don't put them back in the right place. 😡
Great video thought my turkey baster gravel vac might make the list lol I'm telling ya you have to try it use the air inside the baster to gently blast the dirt up then suck it up works great to get in those tiny spots happy monday
Happy Monday you guys. What a great way to start off the week! Thanks for some more great tips especially viewer tips 👍 y'all had me laughing so hard at your pet peeves... Joanna, I can totally relate to having to constantly try to find my mini net and siphon. Jason, I really can't stand when water is left in the siphon. It's definitely not funny... especially when you realize, you're the only one in your own fish room 🤔🤣🤣🤣🤣 much love you guys and a great video!!
What do you all think of UV sterilizers? Have you ever used them? Pros and cons?🤔😁 Someone gave me a small green killing machine and wondered if you had ever tried one or something similar?
Mary Paige Flynn oh haha!! When Jason was saying that, I was laughing to myself cuz I do that to myself all the time. Like 17 times per water change day, to be exact. 😂
As an aside, I too have always been annoyed by the sound of someone chewing loudly. It is a visceral reaction, not just a dislike. Turns out many people have a real condition like this. It's called "misophonia." Wow! Who knew? We are not alone.
You should try melamine sponges. Cleans the glass beautifully and really absorbs the algae so it doesn’t cloud the water. Love your Monday videos together, you guys are great!
Just buy a hillstream loach. My 65 gal tank had algae on the glass, and my small albino bristle nose Pleco was not doing enough. I got the hillstream and 3 days later, the algae was all gone! So now I am feeding algae wafer and bits.
My tip for cleaning glass that I cannot believe more people do not do is use a dollar store rubber squeegee. I've used them on small and large tanks and they make glass cleaning timeless.
Great tips...!!! They do the job and are thrifty, I like that. There is a channel I watch called LowBudget Aquascape and he just did a video on a DIY surface skimmer - simple, effective, and inexpensive...!!! :)
Great video! It does bring up a few “semi serious questions:” A. Is his favorite TV show “Monk?” B. Are shippers banned from sending you packages with bubble wrap? C. Does Dad realize the plant vanished on Mother’s Day? Seriously, as a husband and father, your future depends on selective amnesia in this regard. 😉 Keep having fun together, Jim
James Green 😂 1. He’s never seen it but I have and it’s hilarious. I understand him. ☺️ 2. Bubble wrap “disappears” mysteriously every time. 😏 3. Yes, selective amnesia 👍
Magic eraser the one with mr clean on it lol cut small rectangles from one pad u dont need a big peice an its reusable, very quick an works like magic.
Hi, a lot of people moan about water temps being different but does it really matter if you keep zebra danios with Angel fish and white clouds with Angel fish even tho one is 'tropical' and one is 'temperate'
Hey I was wondering I've done some looking and I haven't been able to find any good videos concerning fish thank lights at night... I have a fluval aqua sky and I never know what color or how much light levels is good at night for example I normally keep the light blue and I keep it at about twenty five percent power but I worry is that too bright? Or is it a color that bothers the fish? I trust y'all and I think this would be an awesome video because I've been searching for these answers and I haven't been able to find anything relevant.... I'm sorry for commenting like this on tour video but I wasn't sure how to send this to you directly so I figured I would just put it on your most recent video thank you
Great question - I generally don't leave lights on in an aquarium at night in any color. The only exception to that is when I have fish protecting eggs - then I might leave a very dim light on. Just enough for them to see a threat coming (like a BN pleco).
Prime Time Aquatics thank you for the info I know there's lots of videos on lights but they are more like reviews then really explaining what color spectrum to use and how much intensity as far as fish health is concerned mostly all I've been able to find anyway our videos talking about best setting for plant growth anyway I love y'all's channel more than anyone else's and I trust y'all more than anyone else so thank you for answering my questions
I use a credit card to clean the algae from the glass - it's maxxed out, no worries ;)). I have a moronic question... I have several glofish tetras in a tank and I would like to move them into a larger tank, but in that one I have several neon tetra babies - really small, and I'm afraid the glofish will eat them ;))... Is that i real possibility?!
Too funny! :-) As for your question. I would wait to move the fish until the babies get a little larger. I find it's a rare event that fish fry survive in community tanks (except live bearers).

A tank can't be too clean he he mind you, I have left dead leaves in my tank as the snails eat them.
Genius! i am going to have to try the filter floss wrapped around my siphon.

For scraping glass one of those small ice scrapers you use for ice or snow on a windshield (small being the important part). Made to clean glass.
John Wood no kidding ! It’s on the list to try now. Fun fact, John, we just cleaned out garage and found like 10 of them so u know I have one to try 😊
