Yeah i dont think i would want to see KD at center. I dont even really like him at power4. KD is one of if not the best 3 in the league. (I always seen labron as a point guard so dont @ me)
Don't forget that Wilt never fouled out of a game in his entire career (including HS and College)! Shows how aware he was as a player. Too bad they didn't keep track of blocks and steals while he was playing; he'd probably have averaged like 5+bpg for his career if they did. Guy was an absolute beast on both ends of the court.
You are so underrated, all the stuff you do is so cool. You even teach me some NBA things i never knew, like draymond green being a center? Your the best! 👍🍓
He's actually more of a Hybrid player who can play positions 3-5, but he has played a lot of center especially during 2015-2016 with that Small Ball Lineup.
I think Mark Eaton should have been here somewhere....or a honorable mention. I love players who take defense personal. And draymond is a 4. Kavon looney an Jordan Bell were there starting centers. An they had a rookie in at center this year.
At 3:12, Tim Duncan is introduced as the best center of all time at 6'11". That's interesting because he is also considered the best power forward of all time. When Duncan first came into the NBA in 1997, David Robinson was the center for the Spurs. And Robinson remained the center till he retired following the 2002-03 season. Following that, there was never a great center for the Spurs but there were guys who were listed as the starting centers, such as the two-headed monster of Nesterovic/ Nazr Mohammad in the years immediately following Robinson's retirement. It probably wasn't until the 2006-07 season that Duncan took over as the starting center. And he remained the starting center for the remainder of his career, though toward the very end the great Tiago Splitter got some starts at the center position.
@@ReboundRewind - in 15-16 and 16-17 he played center 21% of the time according to BasketballReference.com. I think it would be really great if you clarified your definition of Designated Center - because I don’t think Draymond or Kristaps for example have ever been a proper designated Center. But if we are going to consider Kristaps a center - regardless of him playing on a bad Knicks team I struggle to understand how/why big z would out rank him- and more importantly how on earth did both of them beat out Arvydas Sabonis - sure the guy was ancient and oft injured when he finally came to the NBA - but he was an amazing talent all the same.
Hakeem is not 7’0” he is closer to 6’10”. He would of course still be the best player at that height even though Moses was an absolute beast. Who is the real 7’0” best centre then internet?

People don't know or believe in Wilt. Highest jump, beats Jordans vert. One of the biggest wingspans in NBA history. World class track and field in college. Point guard for the Harlem Globetrotters. Couldn't hit a free throw if his life depended on it but could shoot from past the three-point area. (3 point line came in after retirement) If he played in the current NBA he wouldn't be the best center, he would be the best small forward EVER!
@David and Devin Everyone sees it differently, but to me Wilt>Shaq. And also Dan Issel>Ben Wallace, Issel is a hall of famer and was one of the best players of his era

One complaint could be solved by putting Shaq in the 7-0 slot [his BAREFOOT height]. You would then have a dilemma at the 6-9 spot, because Hakeem [6-9.5 barefoot] is technically .25 shorter than Bill Russell [6-9.75 barefoot].
@@hakeemandbirdoverrated2142 It's not even close. Wilt completely transformed the game at a level even beyond Jordan, Magic, or Curry. Neither could carry a team to a championship due to poor freethrow shooting, which is why I would take Russell, Kareem, and Hakeem over either of them.
oh so you mean wilt didn't have competition? I mean Bill rusell, Jerry West, Bob Cousy, Bob Petit, John Havlicek, KC jones, later Kareem Abdul Jabbar, Dave Cowens etc are not competition, not to mention the fact that he had 8.8 Blocks per game, had 55 rebounds in a game, had averaged 50 for an entire season, Had a career Average of 30 points and was the best athlete ever to play basketball, I love shaq and I am a lakers fan, but no way was shaq better than Wilt.
