Russ was great as a starter. He put in a tremendous shift vs KD and co in those Playoff's. He should be remembered for that series, not the Mavs. The Harden trade rendered him pretty much useless, and it ultimately made me hate the Clippers! Sorry Dime
@@ I’ll actually cut you some slack. Fit was clearly the issue with Russ on the Lakers. You could also make a case that he was still struggling to embrace or accept the transition to the new role. Maybe management for the Clips knew how to convince him better? Whatever the reason, that’s just how it played out. It seemed like Russ embraced his new role when he ended up on the Clips.
@@@pashaman2415 Hell, you can check my comment history. I was so scared when I heard the Clippers were looking to get him. I thought he was going to extremely selfish and detrimental to the team. He proved me wrong.
The fact that Russ got nothing but cheers and PG got boos shows how Russ carries himself. I’m not a huge Russ fan but he went all out for the clippers and knows what stuff to say and not say. Glad he got some love.
Your boy T Mann was incredible! I think he nailed 3 late shot clock jumpers and had that big offensive rebound. Those plays killed the Nuggets. I enjoyed Russ' signature from behind swat though - both shared a chuckle shortly thereafter.
I disagree. His role was putrid with Harden on the squad. Ty Lue wouldn't even let him run the 2nd unit making sure Harden was always on the floor. In Denver he is wanted by the front office, his head coach trusts him and he gets a much bigger role and a better opportunity. I suspect he will get more chances to start in Denver too during the course of the season. At the end of the day despite what he says about life being bigger than basketball, he still loves the game!
I ain’t even mean to go at Russ like that I just gotta hate on him on the record cuz he’s the opps now but was glad to see him have a decent game. beatin his ass is obviously better tho
Hearing "Westbrick" and the rest of the abuse Russ often gets, but then you have a moment like this! I'm sure Russ shed a manly tear when you guys were chanting "Brodie!" Since Russ left, I have visited the channel much, I just hate this version of the Clippers (even though I haven't seen them play yet this season). I'm sure you're still a fan, but can you give me a summary in a couple of sentences: do you like the team this year? Are you excited to see them play?
We’ve really only beat the nuggets once these last 2 and a half years. Meanwhile y’all have beaten them twice already this year without your best player😭
Dime, its time to get behind Harden, the coach and players are and the CLIPS are about to go on a big run, get Kawhi back and push for a chip. We cant have the no 1 clipper show man talking harden trash and not even feeling the clipper vibe starting to build, Your Harden talk is just Hate
This is your first comment on my channel so why would I listen to you? Get behind harden and the coach? I’m at every game in a standing only section. And do you have a crystal ball? About to go on a run? I’m going to just take it a game at a time and enjoy my life. “Just hate” plz. Show me what part of this video was hate. And I will always hate the way he plays. You can’t do anything to change that. Go clippers. Thx for the #1 show comment. I get that by being myself and not listening to Stan’s
Thoughts on the game & Russ as a Clipper?
It was pretty fun having Russ on board man no cap

@@rustywest981 ffeel that
Dope that Russ was well received
@@pashaman2415
No reason for him to be poorly received. He played as well as anyone could reasonably ask from him at this stage of this career.
@ I’m a Laker fan so it was just a nice switch up. I hated him with us but ik part of it was a tough fit and our fans can be very nasty

Fun fact Russ has been on the jazz twice yet he never played a single game for them
lol
Love Russ even though his time in LA was kinda tumultuous
Smart man on da second interview 😂
Wife material... get in there Dime 😂Imagine a woman who was beautiful, smart and loved basketball!
Game was amazing and Russ low key still wanted to be a Clipper. You can tell he misses the grit and grind

I think he’s super tight with Harden and would’ve loved to still be teammates with him.

def not, maybe in OKC. The team is fun on defense and no I don't get excited for games. It still feels like work rn but i enjoy going to them
