Hi, first of all thanks for the awesome video. I purchased a vehicle off of market place that had a salvage title and the repair work was already performed but the person I bought it from didn’t supply that info about the parts and what the did. I did find some before photos online and the car was only missing a grille and a headlight. Are those considered major component parts and what should I do about not having a work order? Any help is appreciated
The headlight is considered a major component part, the grill, not so much. You can create your own work order & say you did the work, if that’s all you think was wrong with the car. You may have to purchase another headlight & grill from a junkyard so you can provide a receipt.
I have to do this week , question only thing wrong with my car is a Tcm box in my tahoe that i can put in myself , do i still have to take pictures ? also do i have to make sure no lights are on light tire pressure lights
Yeah they still want the set of before and after pictures of all 4 sides of the vehicle. But you shouldn’t have to worry about the tire pressure light being on. They let me slide with all the vehicles I had.
How do you take the car to the inspection. Do you drive or you pay for towing
I drove. I got a 5 day temp tag from the DMV
I got one but don’t need eny part what do I need to do
What’s the turnaround time?
Here in NY after you send Albany your paperwork, it takes 2-3 weeks to get an appointment. Then you wait 2-3 more weeks to get the title in the mail.
6 week process at minimum
It was a matter of days. I emailed them the paperwork then called them the following morning to make my appointment. They told me I could come the next day, but I couldn’t make it. So I made the appointment for the following week…
Do they put the car on the lift? Do you know if they check emissions? I’m looking to get my 350z inspected soon. Hoping for some more tips. Great video. Thanks
Also did you have to tow it there or could you drive it?
I don’t know if they put the car on a lift because they escorted me out of the garage that they did the inspection at. But I didn’t drive the car onto a lift. No they don’t do emission testing. I got a 5 day temp tag from the DMV and was able to drive to the inspection facility.

@@travisderival4155 I made an appointment, and I only brought the application form with me.
after you pass the inspection how long does it take to get a new title in the mail?
After I got it inspected I went to the dmv the next day and got the title. In Jersey they print out the registrations and titles on site.

No I haven’t had a vehicle fail. I spent no more than 45 minutes during an inspection
@@dom2075 I had a motorcycle fail once, but not a car so far. It took about an hour every time I went.

Yes… they only except check or money order only
What if all the pape work I have is the salvage tittle the car is already fix

It's simply a list of the parts/work done to the vehicle, who did the work/installation of the parts, the date the work was done and the cost of the labor if any.
