Few advices :
- Don't shoot a target that's further away than 500 m from you. The DPS drop off is crazy
- Enable Lag Pipe so you actually aim at parts of your targets instead of blindly hoping for hits to connect
- Disable G-Safe when in combat to increase manoeuvrability
- Always align target trajectory to an imaginary vertical line so you have to "look up/down" (pitch) to keep tracking them instead of left/right (yaw). Reason for that is that thrusters are much more capable to do these movements.
- Abuse the boost to help thrusters align with target (not necessarily to gain speed/acceleration)
But you're right, fast and manoeuvrable ships are now much much better and preferable than having bigger/more guns. Having control over distance from an enemy that can't catch up is extremely precious in these fights that got much closer from MM.
This is very good advice, I LL try to incorporate them in my gameplay. Thank you. o7
@@infinitespace239 Also take nothing for granted, test these and see what fits best for you. o7
Holy shit! First time ive been first to anything in youtube. lol
Great showcase of the new PVE combat.
We need to get this beautiful man a HOSAS + pedals setup.
I have one , but I got back pain, so not easy to use pedals . Hopefully it will be better. o7
Aren't pedals a bit redundant with HOSAS? Wouldn't a pedal setup make more sense with HOTAS?
@@BlackRabbitDigitalP Pedas aren't strictly necessary, since you can achieve 6DOF with just two joysticks (with stick twist), however they are a really nice luxury to have. You can for example map forward / back to the pedals, which frees an axis on one of the joysticks, mostly likely twisting, which I find works fine for rolling and not much else. Makes controlling your ship much more intuitive, plus it adds to the immersion.
if you want to become a PVP specialist, maybe ok, but for PVE the keyboard and mouse setup does the job well enough.
I enjoyed Simbas commentary.
Lol 😂
I was tempted to buy a buccaneer, after seeing avenger 1's video. But I think I will just have to see how they balance these ships before committing to a fighter
Well, they're always rebalancing ships. There's always a META and that always changes. Pick a ship that you love or one that has multiple uses. The Ion for example. It was once OP, then got nerfed into uselessness, then made better again and now it's nerfed.
As much as Avenger dogs the F7C mk2, I've been slaying other players in it. It has also done quite well in bounty hunting. You could constantly melt ships and buy the new META every time it changes as well.
@@bobstark4201 good advice, i always do this ;)
I neeeeeeeed this ship!
Yea F8C needs some love, it's manuverability doesn't match it's mass, should really be on the same page as the hornets at least. Especially with the massive amount of thrusters and mains it has.
Huh? The thing has 12000 shields lmao
@drdevice5424 I don't quite know why that has any corelation with mobility but the reason why I say it is for a couple reasons. Currently it is set comparable with the Vanguards, but is not comparable to them in scope. Lore wise the f8c is a superiority dogfighter, meant to fight the nimble Vanduul. It has no interior nor turret to compensate for a lack of mobility, and even in CIGs own SQ 42 trailer they tote at how nimble it is for its size.
Do I think it should be light fighter nimble? Nah, but it should be able to get it's nose on one if the LF screws up. Placing it's mobility at the hornets level would match all I have said above.
@@ddavis5442 perhaps they should retcon the lore or make the vanguards worse? This is supposed to be a game. What you propose is absolutely game breaking.
@drdevice5424 nothing game breaking about a space superiority dogfighter being able to dogfight. Even the F8C'S loadout is meant to dogfight and not engage larger ships (like the Vanguard) with its smaller hardpoints the F8C won't be able to penetrate large ship armor as well as the Vanguard. Not to mention the F8C has no turret like the Vanguard, so it can not defend smaller ships (which it is made to do) if it has slow manuverability. It would be ship breaking for the F8C to not be at a hornets manuverability. If it stays at the Vanguards manuverability it would rely on its alpha strike alone, and would be unable to fill its role.
Not to mention the F8C had arrow level manuverability in 3.22 and was beaten by skilled pilots on the regular, so there is really no proof that it would be game breaking at a hornets manuverability.
@@ddavis5442 lmao, yeah nothing wrong with a hornet mk2 with 4x the tank. And I want a constellation with 600i tank and C1 maneuverability
Dont ignore your cat!

Is this viable for pvpve Now that it’s live ?
PVE - yes, PVP - not so much
you may be losing out on some dps running weapons with different velocities as sometimes only one of the velocities will match where your aiming, unless youre up close enough to where it doesnt matter
Yeah, I know but deadbolts are amazing and worth it. Maybe in future put M5A instead of omnisky
it is still possible to buy this ship?
Sadly no.
Right now is possible if you have a ticket
seems like master modes has punched a big hole in the f8c
Damn, looks like I'm melting my F8C. Might get it back one day with buyback if they ever decide to fix whatever this is.
🧢
I will buy it off you.
dont melt it :D its one of the hardest ship to get! But its yours, do what u want ;)
I hope we see Anvil F8C/F8A Lightning MK 2, more upgraded version similar to what CIG did with the updated and upgraded F7C/F7A Hornet MK 2. I was watching Avenger__One Star Citizen UA-cam channel and he says interceptors or the Buccaneer (which is an interceptor) and snub fighters are the new meta and light fighters, not medium/heavy fighters. It's all about the smaller fighters.
Yeah I watched that too. We will see.
When your shield is low/down go into nav get some distance come back in scm
Yeah, I did that later with my 325a. No other possibility.
"speed is almost the same" 1337 down to 1100 is almsot 250 slower, wich correlates to around 20 percent. if thats "almost" the same lol.
I was comparing it to my last video. If you have paid attention at the start I said I want to see if the ship has improved now from my first test in 3.23
@@infinitespace239 didnt hear the comparison between begin of 3.23 and 3.23 now
They nerfed the nav speed to 1100 that's is sorry.. it used to be a whooping 1300 wich was the main reason alot of people bought it. And now in MM they have also never pitch and yaw I don't like fighting at 200 speed its ridiculous slow.. 400-500 would be ok to do so. This is like starfield arcade fighting.. I think the MM is cool and adds more control options .. but jeez there really putting on the training wheels
MM don't add more control options. The limit your control to different modes. You described it pretty well with the training wheels. But I don't think there's anything to be liked in Master Modes
@@_Anaklysmos_ for the control options I mean.. I can key bind different buttons to my hotas for nav mode and then key bind different buttons for the fight mode giving me more keybind options. And I like that cause I can put more controls on my hands. But it's is not an equal exchange.. loosing alot more to mm and it sucks.
@@danny1988221 that just makes it more tedious. We don't need anymore keybinds in this game. Our keyboard is already completely full. Why do you want to have to press an extra button to be able to exceed an imposed speed limit?
@@_Anaklysmos_ do you use keyboard to fly or other control systems?
@@danny1988221 I use HOSAS. But the issue still stands as there is no point in getting more buttons to control things which were previously available to you at all times without the need to switch between modes
Not a big fan so far from what im seeing
ah yes "slow as lightening" XD
i love how useless CIG is at making ships and the games tuning.
Fan fiction nerds would do a better job of tuning this game than CIG can.
