Bobby has been breaking women's hearts with this song for almost 60 years. I am not a woman, but can't really listen to this without tearing up myself. Probably the greatest live vocal performance ever.

Right Chrisfamo! I've searched far...and compared many, and no individual performance has equaled THIS. Bobby Hatfield (and others involved in this particular event I suppose) has given ALL of us...something that is really difficult to adequately express. Your one sentence...does a great job, however.

with a real entire orchestra!!! None of that filtered computer garbage, but a human experience between him, the orchestra and the audience. Or some operatic Diva singing going way off course and losing the meaning of the melody and lyrics and how they were combined. He knew it was about the song and not the singer, and he made it his own without intruding on the song's beauty and meaning itself. He ornamented, but held back knowing that the musical/emotional climax of the song is at the end, not during the middle or the entire song. Not only was he super talented, he was musically smart and intuitive, something sorely lacking today. He had one shot at it live, on national TV, and his parents were in the audience! Nerves of steel. this version is way better than the record, thank God we have this tape after some 51 years. It doesn't get any better than this!!!!!!!!!! The late Bobby Hatfield owns this song forever.

"The Righteous Brothers” are considered by most to be the Greatest Male Vocal Duet Of All Time. I agree. Between Bill Medley’s Lows and Bobby Hatfield’s Highs they can hit every note on an 73 key piano. No other male singers can do that. Legendary.
“You’ve Lost That Lovin’ Feelin” was the most played song on radio in the 20th Century.
"Unchained Melody" - Bobby Hatfield Live 1965. Considered by most as The Greatest Live Male Vocal Performance In History... I agree. Bobby's use of "Runs" is brilliant. He is the master of the technique and started the trend. 7 notes just to say the word "I".... Their name came when they did a show in a smaller venue and a black man told them…. You two Brothers are Righteous. They created the sound and set the table that all Soul Music fed from for decades to come.
In 1983, in Newport Beach O.C. Calif. Bill and Bobby at the Jolly Roger Restaurant . I was 13 feet away for... "Unchained Melody"- "You've Lost That Lovin’ Feelin‘" - "Soul And Inspiration".... They were perfect, awesome, amazing, incredible......

This song was written back in the 1950's for a movie about a man who was sent to prison and he is singing this song to his sweetheart who he is has been apart, very lonely for her and loving her from afar. There were several singers along the way that sang this song but it was not until Bobby Hatfield's rendition that it launched this song into outer space! It is still played even today pretty much at every party at least twice for the older crowd who grew up in those times (like me). It is a song that played constantly on the radio back then . It is a perfect song for slowwwwww dancing, holding and kissing! Please listen to "EBB TIDE" and "You've Lost That Loving Feeling" by the Righteous Brothers if you loved this song!

Your reaction was, well, just adorable. You like a happy, swaying, swaying, smiling, clapping, big eyed little girl getting ready to giggle the whole time. Clearly you liked it. Great song.

I've watched several of your reaction videos, Nasa. But I've never seen you blush like you did listening to this song. It's one of the most emotional love songs ever recorded. Wonderful reaction.

So wonderful watching you react to this song, especially the second time as you were now fully into it and just immersed in the voice and song and words. The look on your face was so filled with joy!!!!!!

I LOVE your emotions to this beautiful song from when I was a little girl. My parents would play it. I'm 60 now and it still brings tears to my eyes and give me goosebumps every single time. I'm so happy it touched you in the same way some 58 years later.

Simply AMAZING! I could listen to this song over & over!! And it still gives me goosebumps every time! I grew up in that 60’s era but it seems to have more meaning to it today! I was so heartbroken to learn that he had passed away years ago! What a voice & vocals Bobby Hatfield had! WOW 🤩
The Righteous Brothers diffently knew how to woo a woman! Be still my beating heart! 😃♥️🌹

I still absolutely love this song and the Righteous Brothers. I'm 69, and grew up listening to some great music. Can't call the what's out now with its synthetic instrumentation real music. People SANG then. Right now, I love musical theater star Ramin Karimloo, known to his fans as "The Angel of Music".

I was very young at the time and also the guitarist for the Soulsetters who opened for the Righteous Brothers in 1966 in Phoenix along with the Spiders (Alice Cooper) and Corey Wells Blues Band (Three Dog Night). Bobby Hatfield sang "Unchained". Enjoyed your genuine reaction to such a great classic.

Most people don’t know that the Righteous Brothers got their name from an appreciative Black audience . Upon finishing one particular set the crowd of mostly black fans yelled out, “that was righteous, brothers!”

Yes, I agree with you and all your commenters . This song came out in my era. I loved it then and appreciate it even more now. Bobby sings like he he is really missing someone he loves very deeply, and his words and emotions go directly to our hearts and souls. It doesn't get any better than this!!! I am a very devout Outlander fan, and this reminds me of the pain and longing Jamie and Claire felt during the years they were apart.
