I'm 73 and I listen every night without fail before falling asleep, day time too ,it's never enough ....words cannot explain nor express what the words can do to one's feelings..
You and me both, Kiddo. We were juniors in high school in '65, with Vietnam staring us in the face. This song touched a very deep chord. Still does, especially since losing my Dearest Darling 3 years ago. Each time it plays I tell her, "This is for you, Babe."
Bobby has been breaking women's hearts with this song for almost 60 years. I am not a woman, but can't really listen to this without tearing up myself. Probably the greatest live vocal performance ever.
I watched him sing this beautiful song in 1965. I'm 72 yrs old and still get goosebumps. His voice is so awesome! This is Bobby's song! He nailed it!!!RIP Bobby! ❤❤❤
Same here. Everyone in the living room was so stunned. It took a while to pick our jaws off the floor. Andy Williams provided an excellent T.V. Program.
Right Chrisfamo! I've searched far...and compared many, and no individual performance has equaled THIS. Bobby Hatfield (and others involved in this particular event I suppose) has given ALL of us...something that is really difficult to adequately express. Your one sentence...does a great job, however.
You''ve just been Bobbied,, you'll never be the same girl again! I'm 74 now and the way he caresses and takes care of every note with that dulcet, seductive voice, still gives me the chills. There'll never be another Bobby Hatfield. We are so lucky to be able to listen to these recordings from the past.

I am in my 70s and I listen to this song regularly. It just brings back all the love of my life. I don’t think God ever created a better singer than Bobby Hatfield
with a real entire orchestra!!! None of that filtered computer garbage, but a human experience between him, the orchestra and the audience. Or some operatic Diva singing going way off course and losing the meaning of the melody and lyrics and how they were combined. He knew it was about the song and not the singer, and he made it his own without intruding on the song's beauty and meaning itself. He ornamented, but held back knowing that the musical/emotional climax of the song is at the end, not during the middle or the entire song. Not only was he super talented, he was musically smart and intuitive, something sorely lacking today. He had one shot at it live, on national TV, and his parents were in the audience! Nerves of steel. this version is way better than the record, thank God we have this tape after some 51 years. It doesn't get any better than this!!!!!!!!!! The late Bobby Hatfield owns this song forever.
I've seen so many females react to this recording, and almost all of them have an almost shy, blushing-type reaction. I'm a 65 year old woman, and don't try to tell me the majority of women don't have a part of them that wants to be wooed, cherished, and romance. And Righteous Brothers were among the best at doing it.
His vocals were amazing. His voice could go anywhere he wanted it to. His voice was fluid and velvet and honey. He could make you laugh he could make you cry. He was Bobby Hatfield the greatest singer ever
This rare live performance gave Bobby Hatfield the opportunity to hit the higher notes that the record company didn’t allow. It’s a classic live version of a man who had a true gift. ♥️

25 yrs old with the face and voice of an angel. Now listen to the 1974 version of ROCK AND ROLL HEAVEN by both Bobby and Bill. A beautiful tribute to those we've lost. I know Bobby is singing with the angels now!💖
After 57 years, it's still a magnificent performance especially when compared to the shlock they call music today.... By the way, his mother and sister were in the audience when he sang this. You can see the little grin on his face after he finishes because he knew he nailed it for mom....
Now you can listen to this song every day, like a lot of us older people do. I can't believe you played it twice, but obviously you really like it. So do I. Anyone can cherish beauty.
After 56 years, Bobby still gets this reaction out of every woman who listens to this song! I loved your reaction in particular, Nasa. And that you had to listen to it twice. What was it ... the melody, the lyrics, his voice, those baby blues, or ALL of the above? LOL

"The Righteous Brothers” are considered by most to be the Greatest Male Vocal Duet Of All Time. I agree. Simply AMAZING! I could listen to this song over & over!! And it still gives me goosebumps every time! I grew up in that 60’s era but it seems to have more meaning to it today! I was so heartbroken to learn that he had passed away years ago! What a voice & vocals Bobby Hatfield had! WOW 🤩 The Righteous Brothers diffently knew how to woo a woman! Be still my beating heart! 😃♥️🌹
The #1 most played song in history is another Righteous Bros. song..."You've lost that lovin' feeling"....And a third, "Ebb Tide" might just be the best of 'em all....Righteous Bros. songs were every girl's slow-dance, swoon songs back in the 60's "SockHop" days......And because the girl's swooned over them, naturally, they were the boy's favorite, too...So thanks again, Don and Bobby.......I still remember every word to every song.

a classic beyond words
Most people don’t know that the Righteous Brothers got their name from an appreciative Black audience . Upon finishing one particular set the crowd of mostly black fans yelled out, “that was righteous, brothers!”
WOW 🤩
The Righteous Brothers diffently knew how to woo a woman! Be still my beating heart! 😃♥️🌹
This was the most genuine reaction to a song w/out words..1 wow! Her body , smile did the talking for her! I'd say she loved it!!
Best reaction ever. It’s a killer song.
Thank you 🙏❤️
The #1 most played song in history is another Righteous Bros. song..."You've lost that lovin' feeling"....And a third, "Ebb Tide" might just be the best of 'em all....Righteous Bros. songs were every girl's slow-dance, swoon songs back in the 60's "SockHop" days......And because the girl's swooned over them, naturally, they were the boy's favorite, too...So thanks again, Don and Bobby.......I still remember every word to every song.
Lots of love from Finland/Sweden!
Thanks Bobby, rest in peace.
Goosebumps every time I watch this. Same reaction as me had to watch it over and over
I love your reaction, you beautiful African girl you.
