I was a exchange student in Japan. But it was only for a month and the Japanese student cane to stay at our house for a month. Dud classes in the morning and did tourist stuff with other exchange group from America like 3 times a week and hiked to temples in the mountain and fished for one fish on third day there at welcome party near a stream and pond had to eat the fish we caught and that was first sushi I ever had. I’m not a fish eating person I ate it to be polite. Yea. I was in Tokyo fir a day or two but my host family lived in a sea port community but it was to long ago to remember name but my host family father was a dentist and near by was a golf course and the community had a sea wall. I dud go my mount fugi and went to a lake and rowed a boat near mount fugi while the group went to a Japanese theme park but I away want to go to mount fugi and since I live in Southern California I had plenty of theme parks but had to choose one or the other cause exchange program trip was coming to a end and that was last thing we did big activity did before leaving Japan and I left a present to my house family in closet on a shelf so host family find it after I left. I think it was visit if see’s candy and another present and a card. But I know it was a community next to the ocean cause I walk to the see wall and watch the waves. The weather there was odd and we had a typhoon whine I was there. Kind of got boring in the house during typhoon I did now enough Japanese so I did not enjoy watching tv or movies during typhoon. But it past and got outside again to exploit and go to temples and tourist stuff.
wow! this sounds like you had quite the amazing experience there! thanks for sharing about your trip. if you ever remember the name of the town, let me know. I just love being by the water and hiking too. I would have also gone to mt fuji!! it looks so beautiful!!

yes it is expensive! but I'm from LA, so I'd say its comparable :)

aww thank you!! I haven't been consistent with my page but plan on getting there soon! I was working as an actress full time, and bartended at night. I saved all my money to use to travel :)
