    We really enjoy your descriptive language and feel that we're there with you. We'd love to know what you did in a previous life as the film industry would be lucky to have you. Thanks again for another masterpiece. Don't change a thing. Your content, balance humour and diction are perfect. Thank you!

    5:43 Street. As in Street Culture of New York. Just older and more cobblestone. Love it.

    been to Naples 3 times and will be there again in May. Had two fabulous trips to Pompeii, and wandered the city the last time. Love the place. And the views from the ship when docked of the city and Mount Vesuvius are amazing.

      @@ritzytravelguideYes. We are on Celebrity Constellation in May. 3rd stop Naples. We ahve an excursion booked this time to Herculaneum. Its a morning tour so will just wander around the city centre afternoon, and risk trying to cross roads.

      Naples is like New York City. Gritty but so interesting. I had to look thru my scrapbook & get the name of the restaurant - Attorie Spettatori on Via Santa Lucia 21 is where we found it by just walking around. It was amazing! @@ritzytravelguide

    Thanks for the tour. We stopped several years ago and opted for Pompeii and the Amalfi Coast. You're absolutely right that in a single day, one can't take in enough. I'd love to return for a more leisurely visit.

    We cruised on Queen Victoria in 2017 and stopped at Athens. I wish we could have had longer there so it was good to see it all with you and your wife. I was really surprised at how crowded that beach in Amalfi was. Athens certainly is an interesting place. Thanks for taking us along.

    Many years ago we were on a tour from Sorrento to Capri. We were given return ferry tickets. We got to the dock only to find that ferry workers had called a strike. It was a terrible trip back to Sorrento and some folks on our tour didn’t get back until about 9 pm. Moral of the story - go on this excursion through your cruise line.

      So agree. The cruise line will keep you safe and organized because they are the responsible party.... I remember back in the 90's waking up in my cabin w/Vesuvius in my "backyard". I hope you had a good time during the rest of your journey because we packed in as much we could in one day..

    The adjective I would use to describe Naples is frenetic.

  • @MadeNCda
    @MadeNCda 10 місяців тому +2

    When you asked how we woukd describe Naples, I thought "edgy " Ive not yet been but it suits that description. Wonder if you like it better than Rome?

    • @ritzytravelguide
      @ritzytravelguide  10 місяців тому +2

      It definitely is edgy! But in a characterful way! It's quite different to Rome, as it's more compact, and easier to cover in a short visit. I do have a video on Rome coming out in a couple of months where I compare the 2 cities. But I am holding back releasing that video, as we are in Rome again this June and want to combine footage from that trip as well, to add more insight.

      @ritzytravelguide Wonderful, Bill. Look forward to that video as well. I thoroughly enjoy your content. I feel bad referring to your lovely wife as "your wife" but do understand if she prefers to remain private. Please do extend my appreciation to her, too, as her remarks are very humorous 😄

    Having worked full time from 1982 i would spend my summer holidays (1 week) in 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 mainly at my relative in Charmouth and Sidmouth
    My dad died in 2002 and my Mom died in 2019
    I had the freedoms to travel and already retired I booked 4 holidays to Italy for 2020 and 2021 but because of Covid never happened
    I’ve never been to Southern Italy
    In 1984 with my parents we had a 3 week holiday to Riva Del Garda and visited Verona and the Dolomites
    In 2004 again holiday in Riva for 3 weeks with my mom
