Hey Jeff. GIK work the same as cash donations in that registered Canadian charities can offer a tax receipt for fair market value, but nonprofit organizations cannot. If you are a nonprofit, you can always provide marketing value in appreciation of a gift in kind. Perhaps offer social media posts or a link from your website. I know for my company, I love website links and Google reviews from the nonprofits I support 😊
