    I love this, If I were you i'd add extra weight like some sorta flywheel to make the wind up and wind down slower, and more harrowing!

      Yes, these days air raid sirens should be tested inside raid raid shelters.

    Nice build Jack!! It works great. Now you need to build a huge cone to go over it to project the sound. Air raid / tornado siren. Excellent!

    Good job! But no explanation as to how to mark out the blade shapes. Obviously one side must be the same radius as the base disk, with a length of an appropriate fraction of the main disk circumference but what radius is the other curved side, and where is the centre of that arc?

    Sounds like a handheld orbital sander.
    I think a unique thing about air raid sirens is that they spin up gradually, and slow down gradually, and the top RPM they hit is not as high.
    Yours is nice and loud. But I think what you are using to spin your siren changes the results a whole lot.
