I was literally counting the minutes to buy this watch as soon as it went on sale. But I stopped when I saw the first UA-cam unboxing video and realized this watch is not “release worthy” yet. Why would a stablished good brand like Hello Watch do this? Is it really that difficult to develop the software and watch firmware to a really rich level like they did with Hello Watch 1 and 2? What I am worried about is the manufacturer stops the updates when the Watch sales reach the maximum and slow down. I may be totally wrong, but that is why I will wait until this watch becomes release worthy before purchasing it.

Great to see a comparison of the heart rate an SoO2 calculations against the pulse oximeter. I have been finding it difficult to find examples of the accuracy of the HK8, Hello 2, and Hello 3. It is a shame they have released this version with unfinished firmware.
You really seem quite irrationally annoyed by the lack of watch faces. I'm certain they will come in the future, but surely the unfinished firmware should be more upsetting than only having the small selection of default watch faces.
My raise to wake feature is not working in Hello 3. Please help

As we all know that hello watch 3 has just released and its been a month... the manufacturers are doing their best to fix the bugs and glitches as soon as possible... the product is still in process of getting updates and its still not finished yet (known as unfinished product) we need to keep watch on the app and keep the watch up to date and update as soon as the update is live. We all need to have patience and very soon the watch will rule the market. The screen use to be laggy but after a recent update it has gone alot smoother... we can see from the video the watch still has some stuff remaining to solved and with upcoming all the glitches shall be solved.

It's still not good that they released it, hyping up the people knowing that the apps are still full of glitches. It's very unfair for the people who paid it in full but getting less than what they should get. They should recall their products.
@@otanozias1614 yes one thing is that they clearly rushed it releasing it early but the hype was so much that the public community couldn’t have patience so for the sake of the public they released the products with the plan of sending updates time to time so the public could see the actual progress and how the watch is starting to turn with so many of fixtures… nevertheless, we need to maintain patience so far we have good reviews of the watch and yes we also have issues such as somethings are not finished yet and in that case we just need to have patience…

I already return the watch after using it for a few days, its not ready yet. I bought it to replace hk8 pro max and end up hk8 is still a better replica. Even with complete firmware, nothing u can do with the laggy cpu & bad UI design. I hope hello watch 4 will be good instead, or maybe we gonna get hk8 pro max 2.

@@jandersonmendes the cpu used in hk8 pro max is faster. The screen i prefer hello watch 3, the color is more pleasant to look. Both are amoled though. Different function. HW3 os is not ready yet, many feature missing and alot of bug. So far they didnt fix yet "raise to wake" function, battery still drain during idle, many other feature still incomplete. Maybe need to wait few weeks. HK8 pro max strength is the user interface & its fluidity. Its much more refined than hello watch series, but it has its own drawback also. Search urself.

From what I can tell, this is still not a Amoled display, what they do is turn down the brightness all the way to make it appear as Amoled, that is also the reason why the HK8 is much brighter. I have IPS displays that I use on my products and can achieve the same by turning down brightness. I must admit that they do have a very even backlight LED which does not bleed through from the edges. One other very important point would be to know the actual resolution of the display and how sharp pictures are rendered. All that said, very good video and I am still looking to find a clone version that is "near" perfect to buy. The bad thing is you can really not trust the seller information that often time contradict themselves, especially with the screen resolution. I have seen many "never" watches that say up to 2.2" display yet the bezel of the screen is wider that the lower sized displays. Since the outside dimension of the watch is given, so called 2.2" or even 2.1" displays should have a very thin bezel. Would also love to see a teardown of the watch, since the back is held with screws, but I understand completely if you are not going to take is apart. Anyway, thank you for all your work. i cant see anything that makes it an ips display. You should notice when watching from the sides. Is it market leading IPS or just a poor amoled? Have not recieved mine yet but on the reviews it is not looking as an ips.

From what u can tell, u meant from what u see from the internet?. I have both watch in my hand and both are using amoled panel. In fact hw3 looks better since the color is more accurate. I have blast it to max brightness, no screen aside of oled can give that deep black.

Why all these smartwatches are unable to show time if not connected to bluetooth. Lets say i want to gift it to someone who don't use smartphone there is no way one can fix time if not connected to phone.

Nice review, but how disappointing about the water resistance! The whole purpose of this watch is for a physical outdoor activity's but you cant go near water? What total fail in my opinion.. I actually ordered one and it should be here any day now, i was fooled by the ad that states its IP68 water resistant! i spend a lot of time in and around the water so I will be returning it. what a shame.... so much potential. HK8 pro max is still the best among others. Yet HK8 pro max also has huge issues, such as: weak vibration on notification, small amount of notification from apps, weak heart rate sensor, fake blood pressure sensor,fake SPO2 sensor,fake blood sugar sensor,fake sleep sensor, huge paid watchfaces, heart rate sensor on exercise app does not work properly. Tbh, amazfit GTS will be much worth it in this price range! It is an old watch indeed, but all features are REAL and WORKS like a charm!
In other words, the hk8 pro max is not really better than hello 3 since hello 3 firmware is still undergoing a lot of fixes.
Although until they fix all of the issues with Hello Watch 3 and missing fint faces etc im not recommending any of the watches out there. Im a bit picky thou
@@Moqqot you can't fix the lagging UI with firmware updates. It is by nature like that due to a weak chip. HK8 Pro Max's UI was already smooth since the beginning due to better chip.

In my opinion cpu should have been better, as you stated in the reply, however all other benefits with Hello 3 compared to hk8 makes the hello watch 3 come out on top. Or atleast when they fix all the bugs. If hk8 come out in a size more to original and real sensors etc i would surely go with that.
@@Moqqot what benefits? Everything should be the same as HK8 Pro Max except the weak CPU. Maybe some free watchfaces on market that they are promising will be available soon. *Not sure when, no exact date was announced.
@@diaofficial4847 real sensors, can use same accessories as original without cracking them, cut out for speaker and are at correct location, 4gb storage etc. Hk8 only got the better chip for flow. Now there can still be optimizations for flow on the hello watch 3 but i suspect hk8 will still be better since optimization on ui are harder than fixing bugs ;)

My stepp counter docent work, Bluetooth disconnects constantly. Tried of fiddling around with it. I almost wanted to just use a hammer 🔨 on it. The Hk8 pro max is much better. Shame really because the build quality is better than Hk8.
