Thanks for the great info on aviate. What’s the student mix like? I’d be a non traditional student and am trying to figure out if it would be a good environment for someone around 40.
Really depends on where you live and what your current living expenses are. I would save (or borrow if going with loan) enough to live for a year since the program is a year long
Hey JP- appreciate this content. Currently waiting on assessments to be sent my way to progress. Now that you’ve been there sometime is the program what you’d hoped it would be, better or worse? Are you close to getting your PPL / excited about moving onto getting your ratings? In general how has the experience been since starting? This is likely a question you’d have clarity on later- has it been discussed if there is an hours guarantee as a CFI at Aviate, so you can hit the 1500 hrs needed sooner than later? Are you guaranteed a CFI job or something similar upon program completion? Thanks for your time!
How bad are the delays in training and planes right now? lots of horror stories out there on message boards about pushing classes and problems in Phoenix. Thanks
I’ve only had maybe 2 flights canceled due to planes being down for maintenance inspections since they are being flown so much. Since I’ve been here there has been new planes coming in and more on the way to counter that.
I recently got a conditional acceptance into the United aviate program and I was wondering how many students do they have enrolled in the program. I guess basically I’m wondering how big is the program? Also I’m glad your training is going well! Thank you for sharing your experience!
Thanks for the information. I’m conditionally accepted and working through the application!

Hey JP! I have just been invited to take my online assessment. What can I expect on that test?
How much would you recommend saving to live on during flight training?

Dose anyone know if Aviate program or any other Airline pilot sponsor programs guarantees interview if you complete the program ?
I know United Airlines typically uses iPads in the cockpits. Do they use these in the academy as well? If so, are they provided?
are they adding more dorm availability?
Not 100% if they plan on building more dorms

What is the best way to contact the school? I’ve submitted a few questions on the website and have never received a response?
When I was going through the application process I replied to the email that I first received from them when I submitted my application.

What do you suggest to study/pass the FAA Knowledge test prior to starting the academy?
Hope your training is going well! How often do you fly per week?
I fly usually 5 days a week unless there’s cancellations due to weather or anything like that
