Haunting and beautiful. I keep coming back to listen to this lovely performance. Makes me want to pick up my guitar and keep trying! Thank you!

Eddie Lang (born Salvatore Massaro) from Philly. "Before Lang, the guitar hadn't been a prominent instrument in jazz bands and dance orchestras. He recorded one of the first solos in 1924 on 'Deep 2nd Street Blues'"

What a master, he keeps such great time while playing some really difficult stuff, I would die for the independence of the right thumb he has.@MrJimmienoone can you even play it? put up or shut up I say.

Crosby became the star attraction of the Rhythm Boys. In 1928 he had his first number one hit, a jazz-influenced rendition of "."

Became one of Bing`s signature tunes (second to "when the blue of the night", I believe.

Wouldn't Eddie Lang have played this pick style?

Yes, but Martin Taylor is a fingerstyle artist. Completely legit IMHO.

At the end you can hear that there were Indians in the audience... Very good

Absolutely brilliant playing, and so tuneful - Shame about the dog in the audience though!

Great. Really nice but not in any way related to Lang

Lovely playing but I'd much rather hear it on an acoustic archtop. The electric is so lacking in percussion and dynamics.

My God, what a cold, emotionless, tired, uninspired version. Compare that to the original by Eddie Lang! I would feel ashamed to perform this in public.

Please, show us what you normally perform in public so that we know how it should look like

Inasmuch as Jimmie Noone died in 1944, I presume you're another Jimmie Noone. I looked for your guitar videos on UA-cam, and mysteriously, couldn't find any.

Ashamed? Really?? You are probably an angry Male, 5'4" and 200 lbs who is not even performing or have any recordings or videos of yourself. If you don't like it, I could possibly understand but ashamed is way harsh and ridiculous. We all know Martin can really play and has a career so come on. Respect man!

You could have just said "I don't know anything about the guitar" and give the same effect
