I enjoyed watching, it reminded me of the time when I was discovering things. There is a lot going on on the screen, but you managed to find answers for most of your questions. There is a lot more to discover. Also really enjoyed your honest responses and reactions to the things, like the Dinosaur and the planet and discovering that the world is a voxel world. So the survival tent you craft in your Suit Constructor, not in the Portable constructor, you need plant fibres, and it is showing up as "red" because you need more. Tab to your inventory, select the Suit Contructor, and find the tent in the templates under that
You poor guy. Don't worry, we all struggled with the beginning and the tutorial. It's not done very well. The survival tent you can craft from your basic crafting. It is red because you need the resources. Keep trying, you'll get it. Once you do, this game will blow you away. Then, you can check out some of the amazing creations in the workshop after trying to build your own. :)
Also, don't forget to put the resources into the portable constructor's input if you use that. That got me a bunch of times and caused a ton of frustration when I started.
It's really bad that Check CPU points and Check Mass/Volume are False as default; on the plus side the settings can be changed at anytime. A Survival Tent is built in the Survival Constructor; it was greyed out as you didn't have sufficient plant fibre (35) and therefore you kept missing it. If you had hovered over it you would have seen that but I don't think the tutorial made that clear.
Regarding CPU in game setup. That is a point system when you build anything. It has levels that makes a ceiling for the total "points" you can use for that item (vessel, base, etc.) When you hit the max, you can upgrade the "CPU" to a next tier. Most people play with it on as it makes you think and plan ahead on things. Same for weight. If weight is turned off, even though it says you can carry 600, it will allow you to carry infinite amount. IMHO this is cheating cause there is not a big need for all the storage options available. Good luck!
Underrated game for sure. Been playing this game on and off since alpha 5 and still having moments with it.

You can also respawn from a survival tent, handy if you are attacking a POI.
