- We recently spent two days on Mackinac island while traveling through Michigan. We stayed at the mission Point Resort, visited the Grand Hotel and Fort Mackinac, had several great meals at popular Mackinac island restaurants and even did a fudge crawl!

You should visit the Pink Pony when the sailboats arrive from the two regatta races each summer! Total great celebration.
We live in Michigan and have gone here every August for the last 17 years, best tip….open up the wallet and get into the interior trails away from the downtown. If you’re in shape hiking the East Bluff trail is absolutely outstanding! PS the bridge divides the lakes, your in Lake Huron on the island and the Whitefish comes out of Lake Superior. Want fresh caught whitefish venture up to Grand Marais Dunes Saloon, caught & cleaned daily!

The colors & design at Grand Hotel are from interior designer Carleton Varney - President of Dorothy Draper & Co Inc. he was known as “ Mr Color” and he passed last yr 😢 I loved his style ! Going back to Mackinac Island soon after 26 yrs! Can’t wait!!!!!!❤ you guys are adorable
Pink Pony and the Grand Hotel deck were my highlights, and arch rock! Rode my first bike, a two seater here, was in the back spooky.

Great video.....on your next visit try lunch at the Grand Hotel Jockey Club on the golf course. I agree with your choice of Murdick's Butter Pecan Fudge. Of course, all their flavors are the Best! I worked at Murdick's for 5 summers!

WOW! It must be such a unique experience to work on Mackinac Island. I'm originally from Michigan. My sister lives in Bellaire. To her, it's no big deal, to me, I long to go back there again.

The Grand Hotel is booked up years inn advance, although they have cancellations from time to time,
I noticed you wore sleeves . I’m going to be there Labor Day weekend and was wondering if the weather would be about the same or cooler. Great video.
Judy, we always check the calendar of weather history on wunderground. I’m guessing you’d want to pack some longer sleeves just in case 👍🏼

Do you need reservation for Sadie's Ice Cream Parlor?
When we went you did not need a reservation nor did you have to pay the entrance fee
Are there any 3 wheel bikes (trikes) for seniors to ride?
Not sure, you’ll have to check the different bike rental companies on the island. It’s a pretty family friendly place so I suspect you’ll find something
Hi guys, great video. We're headed up in a few weeks to mission point, too, and wondered how you got your drone shots. Are they allowed on the island or was that stock?
It wasn’t stock. Based on all FAA rules and regulations the drone shots were legal. Took off outside state park boundaries
@@AdamandMadalyn ah thanks. There's been a lot of talk lately about the island banning drones but it's been hard to find an answer.
They could ban take off spots but the air is controlled by the FAA. Someone could pretty much always launch one from a boat and be fine.

Are there places to eat breakfast?
Absolutely! We often times sleep in though!
The best place on the island for breakfast is at the CHUCK WAGON. This tiny restaurant sits next to the Haunted Theater. The CHUCK WAGON also has the BEST hamburgers on the island.
