You'll love it anyway as it is a most magical place. But from what I've seen it's pretty manic at the moment. Enjoy your trip!

I read in one of your titles that you’re living off grid, do you need to charge up a caravan parks often? Is it mostly for waste disposal, fresh water or charging up the batteries? I’m looking at a system called a Clayton power LPS that charges form the alternator and solar panels. This should do away with the need to plug in at caravan parks, just the water and waste challenge to overcome as I couldn’t afford to pay £35 or £38 per night for a caravan park. Any tips on full timing will be much appreciated! Cheers👍

We have three solar panels and a lithium battery. In the summer, we never have to worry about power whatsoever. Also the alternator charges, winter is slightly different especially when it snows. Water is the biggest challenge and we have been known to 'borrow' it from petrol stations and industrial parks. Toilet waste is also a problem - in Scotlnd you can dump it for a few quid - Elsewhere in the UK, we have two cassettes and a large holdall - which we may use to take into public toilets 🤣🤣. Our next video also covers toilet drop offs. Good luck in your venture

@@motorhomemavericks1 I’m 54 and trying to retire by 55. I have had several friends and family die or suffer life changing health issues from the ages of 40 onwards. Since covid, previously fit, energetic and healthy folks all around me have been dropping like flys for no apparent reason. So I realise nothing is guaranteed and if I want to go and travel, I’d better do it while I can. You have an amazing Motorhome and while I’ll probably won’t be able to have something as new or luxurious, I do appreciate the need for the size and garage storage for MTB + Paddle-board storage. Getting the functionality and layout right will be important too, so watching how you guys have done it has been very helpful. Cheers!

@commuterbranchline8132 yes my friend, none of know what is around the corner, so take the bull by the horns. As for your future rig - as long as it is waterproof, nothing else matters. I know people who literally have a van and a mattress

@TrevorBewick-jq6zp We started the NC500 in February and finished it at the end of April, after a few island visits. We really do recommend going out of season- it's so quiet and magical
