(oh also marriage doesn't guarantee that theres gonna be a kid you know?)
Marriage was created to ensure land ownership and property by heritage. Marriage its a social contract between people, It pre dates all major modern religions and it have never been a single type or model of marriage.
Thank you! You were the one other person who realized how STUPID that sounds. Jimmy Snow, an awesome UA-camr formerly known as Mr. Athiest has covered marriage before. I was going to say my biology teacher did a horrible job if she neglected to teach one of the most common features in biology, marriage. I find it also kinda funny how humans are not the only species who have homosexuals.... every species does... we're just the only ones who have homophobes.
I was once in a heated argument on Instagram with some acephobe who said "asexuality isn't real, so there's no such thing as asexuals " and then someone else replied with "Well if we aren't real, then I guess we can go rob a bank. You can't arrest what doesn't exist!" And honestly that was hilarious and can be used for any sexuality that others are trying to erase
I mean asexual just dosnt ...do anything....like I don't get how you can hate it. I'm not asexual at all but I get why you'd be asexual so support yall. I'm a trans man
@@comichb I learned the hard way that the reason why acephobes exist is not because they think that asexuals are gross or that they're evil.... They exist because they don't understand (and don't want to understand) how it's impossible for some people to feel sexual attraction. Basically there are 2 types of acephobes : A) doesn't believe we exist and think that we just want to feel special. B) are part of the lgbt themselves and are gatekeeping because asexuals "are not as discriminated against as the other sexualities"
monika kavaliunaite I agree, a lot of people will push away or deny something that they can't personally understand or relate to. I find the second kind of acephobe you mentioned to be so irritating. There is no competition for who can suffer more. No one is a more valid or less valid part of LGBT because of how much discrimination they face. I've also seen this a bit in the trans community which I am also a part of where sometimes people judge others on how valid they are as a trans person based on how much dysphoria they have and make it seem as if trans people with more dysphoria are more valid as trans people and trans people that don't have as much as them are less valid as trans people. In the end they're all valid trans people and should all be helping and supporting each other through whatever struggles they face.
honestly, I'm straight and I can confirm we do not need "straight pride" like what the hell? we have all our rights, the LGBTQ community doesn't?! it confuses me that people think we need straight pride when the whole point of pride is to advocate for LGBTQ rights. also why do they have to bring star wars into this?? darth jar jar would not aprove
You can be proud to be straight, just as you can be proud to be LGBT, IMO. It's completely fine to be proud of your sexuality. I'm not straight, but I honestly think that it's completely fine.
I saw a post once that went like this: Person 1: If your parents weren't straight you wouldn't exist. Person 2: Both of my parents are bisexual, try again. :)
Ikr. I cannot believe people have the nerve to tell me to thank them for existing when they treat me like trash for existing. They go out of their way to stop us getting married and being happy and try and make our quality of life awful but they have the nerve to think I owe then as much as a thanks besides a gay man could easily donate sperm to a lesbian and the population would still continue. So these people aren't as important as they think.
Straight pride is like a sibling that gets everything they want while the other sibling is neglected and blamed for everything for years, then after years of fighting for attention when the 2nd sibling finally starts to get it and from their parents the 1st sibling gets jealous and starts claiming "you're giving them attention so I should get attention too! tHaT's TrUe EqUaLiTy!"
"Rainbows are only ruined by the lgbt+ community if you don't agree with the lgbt+ community, and if you don't agree then you don't really deserve rainbows anyways" Beautiful
And by accident they used all of them at the same time. Because white it all colours of the rainbow reflected, black is all colours absorbed. You. Cannot. Get. Away. From. The. Rainbow.
What makes me laugh the most about the “thank a straight person for your existence” is that hundreds and thousands of people are alive today because one, or both, of their parents only “pretended” to be straight because of societal pressures but were in fact LGBT.
My mom is openly and wildly bi lmao. Even as a young adult she'd be dating a guy one month and a woman the next. Now that she's older she's settled down a bit with bouncing from person to person
Straight pride wouldn't even help with that. Also even lesbian couples can have biological kids(not gay couples so far, that I know of). (I know what you're saying, I just wanted to also say something about that.) As a cis, straight girl, I think having a straight pride would be stupid. Basically everyday is straight pride, while members of the LGBTQ+ community get bullied and harassed (mainly by rude straight jerks of people). I don't agree that identifying so and acting on it is right(religiously) and I don't feel that way, but I'm still nice, respectful, and supportive as I can be(I try but I'm very uneducated about many social subjects like this and Black Lives Matter and people of color's struggles day-to-day. I hope if I'm offensive, wrong, rude, or disrespectful in any way, someone will call me out so I can learn and fix my mistake). I don't see how other's can do the same as that, it takes ZERO effort or money to be a good person. I NEVER struggled being nice, but I constantly struggle to be mean to VIDEO GAME characters!(I play Mystic Messenger, and sometimes you have to be mean to get the bad endings. I want to complete all of the game, including bad endings.)

WHAT ABOUT ARTIFICIAL INSEMINATION? My aunt is HELLA GAY and got inseminated and now has beutiful twins AND a wife
Awwww
This is something I always try to remind transphobes. Your sexual organs don't determine your gender, your gender doesn't determine your sexuality, and your sexuality doesn't determine your ability to have kids.
The aunts are always gay
Yeah that stuff!!! I commented about female to female pregnancies and someone replied with something like ‘THOSE DONT EXIST U NEED SPERM AND EGG FOR PREGNANCY’ and i wanted to hit something once i saw h the notification
Pretty sure that’s what my neighbors did. We’ve basically grown up with their kids
"its biology, not bigotry" i didnt know that the concept of marriage is biological? i sure didnt learn about that in bio back in school...
Actually marriage was created around reproduction in sharing children which is why there was no gay marriage because it didn't make any sense
@@thehill8353 well... no. yes, reproduction is commonly a thing between a cis man and a cis woman, but the concept of MARRIAGE itself is a social construct created by people. we could, and do, still create kids without marriage. thats what i mean when i say, marriage is not biological.
Exactly! I made this comment too. Getting married isn't biology, it's a social construct...
I was once in a heated argument on Instagram with some acephobe who said "asexuality isn't real, so there's no such thing as asexuals " and then someone else replied with "Well if we aren't real, then I guess we can go rob a bank. You can't arrest what doesn't exist!"
And honestly that was hilarious and can be used for any sexuality that others are trying to erase

Basically there are 2 types of acephobes :
A) doesn't believe we exist and think that we just want to feel special.
B) are part of the lgbt themselves and are gatekeeping because asexuals "are not as discriminated against as the other sexualities"
Comic HB
Thanks my man, have a wonderful day
monika kavaliunaite
I agree, a lot of people will push away or deny something that they can't personally understand or relate to. In the end they're all valid trans people and should all be helping and supporting each other through whatever struggles they face.
honestly, I'm straight and I can confirm we do not need "straight pride"

The dumbest thing I hear is “why do we have a gay pride month but not a veterans month?” We do. May I think.
I know! My friend was like “it’s sO unfair that gay people get a month but all they’re doing is being themselves, but veterans get a day!!!!! So unfair😩”
I was like
There literally is a veterans month
If you care so much about the veterans, why don’t know you that hm? HM? _HM_ ?! Or are you just trying to portray gay people in a bad light?
"Thank a straight person for your existence." You don't need to be straight to be involved in the baby making process....
