  • Kafula Silumbe has 18 years of public health work experience mainly in malaria control and prevention. As team lead, Kafula provides oversight and management guidance of PATH/MACEPA Zambia activities and malaria intervention targeting that support the malaria control, prevention and elimination agenda in Zambia as guided by the Ministry of Health (MOH).
    Recently, he was part of the team that rolled out the Attractive targeted sugar bait (ATSB) study in Western Zambia and lead the epidemiological component as well as providing technical support and guidance to all workstreams associated with the study.
    Kafula has his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Development Studies with a minor in Mass Communication from the University of Zambia and his Master of Public Health from the Mel and Enid Zuckerman College of Public Health at the University of Arizona.
