Beautiful looking photos. XP2 is one of the lowest contrast B&W films, but I like how it renders middle grays a lot. Pushing XP2 adds plenty of contrast while retaining the pleasing grays, so it’s the best of both worlds!
Great video Josh! I too like XP2 pushed to 1600 when needed, I think the grain looks even, and the shadows drop to nothing which I like. I've used it for parties without a flash too and the results are good.
I'm a big fan of xp2 and I was looking to see how it looked pushed. I'm not disappointed. Maybe I'll try it pushed 2 stops in 6x9 on my old Graflex. What was your aperture at? I try to run mine kinda small nowadays since I've gotten good results with longer exposures at high ISO.

It's also good at 200iso more contrast and less grain 👍

Yeah, I love the contrast!

Couldn’t not remember the aperture. But definitely recommend pushing!
How was it developed? Was it pushed in development.
@@johnLee-bb2do yes, it was. It says in the title.
Where did you get the film developed? All the film labs around me are unable to push a c41 stock.
@@35mmfkup sorry for the super late reply but I use Ikigai Film Lab in Australia
ah you are in Melbourne, do you want to have a film walk in tomorrow?
This was filmed back in July unfortunately. I live in Brisbane.
You should turn down the ambient noises form the videos when you edit. It was hard to hear you at times.
Thanks for the feedback. Will definitely try.
