The whole Megatron eating jazz's spark isn't cannon but it was at one point in the original script but was cut so I don't think it's to do with drinking energon or eating a spark from another cybertrionian gotta also consider that Megatron in the first movie was a very experienced melee fighter hence why he did throw Optimus around and by the time he was revived in revenge of the fallen Megatron's body was so bulky that Megatron himself likely felt off fighting in a body so different to what he was already used to for likely millions or billions of years (going by G1 timeline even if it's not the same as the B verse movies it's still worth noting)

Nah Megatron was always powerful even without jazz's spark .Don't forget that this was the Megatron that Optimus and Sentinel Prime feared back in Cybertron because he was always a vicious leader of the decepticons. He only got weak because the allspark killed him and his body parts were replaced with a random weak decepticon which caused a lot of imbalance in his body hence causing him to lose his later battles with Prime.This is also the same reason why Sentinel bitched him in the 3rd movie as he saw how weak and broken Megatron had become..
I Search to see another reason why Megatron was very strong but no longer. In the Internet They say why Megatron is stronger then prime and why he is his brother. They say Megatron in the First Movie was actually a Prime. Megatron was a prime in that movie but when he came back he was no longer a Prime. And his Strength was a Failure. I don't really think this is a plausible explanation, if you take a few seconds to think about it, the Energon is there when Jazz is torn in half because it's flying everywhere, and also, there is nowhere near enough time between when Megatron rips Jazz in half and when he throws his parts off the building for him to eat the entire spark. It’s because in ROTF his 2 arms were uneven making him heavy on one side and not on the other. In DOTM his body was still recovering from his battle in ROTF. Idk what happened in AOE but I think Megatron wasn’t fully in control in TLK.
He got new (much better) body in TF4, as Galvatron. And he upgraded it in TF5, back as Megatron, much stronger than his TF2, but probably a bit weaker than TF1 version. It seems
I think I believe in Theorymus's theory more that Jazz died due to Energon loss, he bleed out. I don't think being frozen in the ice would have weakened Megatron a little bit because he was able to destroy the part of the dam he being experimented on with no problem whatsoever. I'm not saying I'm disagreeing with this video, but It's just another theory. I felt like Megatron didn't eat Jazz's spark because he most likely died from lack of Energon. When he gets ripped in half his weapon is out but after that scene his weapon was retracted back in his arm. But the reason why Megatron was weaker in 2 and 3 is because he is unfamiliar with the ROTF body. In DOTM you can see that Megatron's new body kind of reflects is original body, but due to the damages from his last battle with Optimus Prime he has became weaker. In AOE and TLK its a different story. In AOE Megatron has the chance to make his dream body with all new weapons. The cannon on his arm doesn't weigh him down, and that whole in his chest is actually a weapon. Galvatron actually grabbed Prime's sword and put it his chest, breaking it. And I think the reason for that is in ROTF Megatron got demolished when Optimus got his swords out. Now in TLK Megatron got a new body, the cannon seems to not weigh him down, and it can be put away if not needed. Also it can shoot fire too. It looks like he can wield a sword better now, now that it's not attached to his arm, he can do more fighting techniques. He can fly in both jet and robot mode. In the final battle Optimus chops his arm off but Megatron keeps fighting instead of standing there in pain like in ROTF. He even manages to overpower him again, and Prime only won because Megatron was caught off guard monologing. (Now I kind of feel that TLK Megatron is stronger than MV1 Megatron.)

Dude he was not frozen for decades try a century. Also Megatron eating Jazz spark was removed in the movie but in a book it happened wich I read in third grade. In AOE and TLK its a different story. In AOE Megatron has the chance to make his dream body with all new weapons. The cannon on his arm doesn't weigh him down, and that whole in his chest is actually a weapon. Galvatron actually grabbed Prime's sword and put it his chest, breaking it. And I think the reason for that is in ROTF Megatron got demolished when Optimus got his swords out. Now in TLK Megatron got a new body, the cannon seems to not weigh him down, and it can be put away if not needed. Also it can shoot fire too. It looks like he can wield a sword better now, now that it's not attached to his arm, he can do more fighting techniques. He can fly in both jet and robot mode. In the final battle Optimus chops his arm off but Megatron keeps fighting instead of standing there in pain like in ROTF. He even manages to overpower him again, and Prime only won because Megatron was caught off guard monologing. (Now I kind of feel that TLK Megatron is stronger than MV1 Megatron.)
megatron is so strong in that movie cause he has had that body and alt modes FOR THOUSANDS OF YEARS. THE DUDE HAS HIS PERFECT IDEAL BODY that he has honed over millenia of war.

Dude he was not frozen for decades try a century. Also Megatron eating Jazz spark was removed in the movie but in a book it happened wich I read in third grade. Megatron was stronger than Optimus because he was once the high protector of Cybertron and leader of its defence and armies while Optimus was just a archivist/scientists and pasivists who was in denyal of his prime tides in the prequel foundations. Megatrons original body has alot of war experience with other alien races trying to steal from there planet in the past in ways he is a fallen hero.

Rachet couldn't save jazz because there was little left but I don't think Megatron needed something from jazz as he was a gladiator in Cybertron I think Megatron couldn't have ate his spark because the spark in in jazzes chest not in the torso also when Megatron ripped him apart you can see that his gun is still there but when Ironhide was holding him it was retracted, but I respect your theory

Megatron was just pissed and damn strong as he should be. In the second movie he came back from the dead, while Prime was on a kill streak defeating one Decepticon after another. So one was in his prime (word joke) and the other was in a new body, which was way bulkier than his normal body and had to adjust to that.
That is just a stretch tho. It's just bad writing to be honest

In my opinion, optimus outmatched megatron in other movies cuz of protagonist bonus, i always curious why they made megatron so powerful in first movie. Seems its not just me then they nerfed him. simple, megatron was always strong, they had to flee cybertron because of megatron’s overwhelming strength as he was also a gladiator and had millions of years of fighting experience, prime was just a librarian with almost no experience, after the all spark killed him, he got his parts taken off and when they were replaced it was offscale so he couldn’t fight as good in a body he wasn’t used to
