    Absolutely love how slowly and smoother you pan the camera. It really gives you time to see everything!

      Thank you! i was using a gopro hero 8 and it has amazing auto stabilization that really helps with the pans! But thank u for noticing! I specifically wanted to take a video where you could really see detail without pausing it all the time!!!

    Super facinated by the camera setup here if you're willing to share at all, but most of all thank you for posting this! I've really wanted to see more of this kind of video to really get the vibe of what it's like to actually be in the town during the event. :) Have a wonderful day and safe travels!

      Thank yoouu for watching!!! I hate to disappoint but this video was filmed on just a gopro 9. I use a gopro12 for my battlefield footage and used to use a gopro 11 for the walks and other stuff but that was stolen at bico this year!!!

    Okay what is this. How did I get here and how have I not know or heard of this. Where is this ? Is it a ren fair or a larp gathering ? Are there any in the US ? I would love to go to one, wow !

      Haha that's what I said when I first saw videos on this! To answer your question this is a place called Bicolline and this event is called the grand battle of Bicolline. It's 7 days long and us amazing! It's about an hour and a half north of Montreal Quebec! I pay for a travel package with The Voyage North! You should look them up.

    I've never heard of Bicolline until today. It popped up in my recommended and now I've watched 6 hours of Bicolline content. I've got to go to this. As someone who is a gigantic nerd but doesnt really have any nerd friends what would be the best way for me to attend?

      You sound exactly like I was but like 7 years ago! Lol! If you can afford it the easiest first time option would be to go through The Voyage North! They take care of a ton of logistics!

      @vthings001 I had never larped before I found out about bico as well! I have gone to another larp in Pennsylvania but it just wasn't the same immersion that you get at bicolline! Have you watched any of the battle videos? I also just uploaded a new bico walk video a week ago.

      @@TallianAdventures - was that Pennsic? I'm a senior officer for Die Fledermaus (we're one of the main scene camps hosting Mardi Gras & more). It's larger, w/ about 15,000 in attendance, but it has a very different vibe. I've only recently discovered Bicolline & found your channel. One year I'd love to switch out Pennsic to attend.

    • @TallianAdventures
      @TallianAdventures  7 місяців тому

      @rickd.501 no! It was probably about 200 people lol so definitely not pennsic! I actually thought pennsic was in Europe for some reason! I would love to try it out too! But yeah it does look like a bit of a different vibe! I think one of the magical things about bico is the depth that 30 years gets you. It's a huge amount to learn and see. Even just about history! Plus the buildings just make it that much more emmersive.

    One thing I’ve noticed about Bricoline which is a pastiche of Medieval Europe, compared to say a historical park like say Archeon is animals. There aren’t any or there doesn’t appear to be any. In a Medieval village or town there’d be the sounds of oxen baying, horses clomping down the street, dogs, cats, pigs rooting about and so on.

    • @TallianAdventures
      @TallianAdventures  20 днів тому

      @andrewthorpe2539 this is true! The only animals are horses for the carts. It's a safety and cleanliness thing I think.

    • @andrewthorpe2539
      @andrewthorpe2539 20 днів тому

      @@TallianAdventures it makes sense, after all animal husbandry is a huge job in itself, most of the population in the Middle Ages were involved in farming in one way or another.

    That's pretty dope you guys can walk around town with a flash and nobody will bother you. my only question is, in that respect. How to they keep people from getting to drunk/beligerent during the event? I mean i know there is security. But I'm just wondering how they handle that.

    • @TallianAdventures
      @TallianAdventures  9 місяців тому +2

      Bicolline is seriously amazing!! you can bring your own booze and get as drunk as you want as long as you are not a jerk or a danger you will be totally fine. People love to party all day and all week long! I have never seen a single fight in anger at bicolline. Not to say that it cant happen its just really rare. I think that is because if you throw a punch in anger at Bico you get kicked out for LIFE!!! I think that is a huge deterrent.

      Kids would have fun there (and do, apparently - 23:24 is a day care of sorts), but it's important to remember that this is a fantasy LARP, not historical reenactment. Some things there are period, some are from a different period, and some are meant to be fantastic.

      Thank you for watching! I have a bunch more videos on my channel and a bunch more coming soon if you haven't seen those! Say hello next year! I'm in the March warden camp! So the camera and phone thing is a big deal out in town and just walking around bico you want to keep it hidden. I use a gopro 11 that is all black and my armor is black and gold so it blends in pretty well. However it is still noticed sometimes but people on the battlefield usually don't care. I don’t know what’s worse- the scuffing feet, the clashing colors and clothing styles or the many ugly people! judgement only comes from self-image. many judge LARP in general due to them putting themselves in their shoes and deeming it something that they could never do; whether that being to protect their high ego, to save themselves from "embarrassment", or other societal issues. judging from you, i'm getting that you have a high egotistical value, so from others stepping out of their comfort zone and doing something they genuinely enjoy ( something you could never see yourself doing) , it belittles the image you have on yourself. why else would you throw in such hateful remarks that have nothing to do with the entire focus of the video? "ugly people" ? you have MANY, MANY self-image problems that you need to work on, my friend. no one is at fault here but you - if people solely existing hurts you so bad to the point of commenting hate, you need to take it easier on yourself, princess. 😉⚔💗
