The effect this song had on me on the first listen was so profound, I was completely overcome with emotion. By the time that sax came in - it hit me like a tonne of bricks. Truly beautiful.
It hit me because the whole album seems to be about change and worrying that things are changing for the worst, but then when the sax (and other instruments) come in, it sounds like a garden blooming, in a "things are changing, but it will be okay" sort of way
Yep, Bon Iver can get me crying just like that. (probably doesn't help that I just came off listening to "If We Were Vampires" by Jason Isbell, either.......)
I have a suggestion for a great song for you to react to ! It’s by James Blunt, and it’s called “Monsters” WARNING : it’s a little emotional ! Thank you so much in advance !
"But you know what will stay? Everything we made." That ending GUTTED me the first time I heard it
Yup
