@filiplucic It's still honestly pretty situational, especially when you consider it can't kill anything that has over 1000 attack. A better use for it if you need to force yourself to try to get ANYTHING out of Blast Juggler is that you can use it to blow up your own Sangan to search something with 1500 or less attack
@@matthewkuscienko4616 Yeah, no doubt, it's pretty awful, but it would be so funny to actually resolve it. The Sangan interaction actually sounds cool, didn't think of that one
ocubeam was actually played in extra deck monarchs in 2016, because it has same type and attribute of aether, so you could dodge both rivarly and gozen match. the only thing is that dark witch was the tier 1 choice because has better stats but whoever didnt get her they would use ocubeam instead. it comes in because of the combo with brilliant fusion>lazuli>normal monsters interaction
Blast juggler, ocubeam and mega thunderball are fusion materials (for cyber saurus for the first and kaminari attack for the two others) so that definitely makes them better than random vanillas since there are more ways to summon them from the deck, search them, revive them, etc...
The Cheerful Coffin Not even future decks like Infernity / Dark World / Fabled that like to discard or empty the hand would use a card where-at best-is still an inherent -1.
Ok, maybe I'm too damaged by the 2022-Meta, but Mega Thunderball could be a legit tech in spright. Lvl 2 normal monster, can thud be summond with Unexpected Dai, can be recycled with Recycling Batteries, and even turned into colossus. Is it good? No. But if The statue of Easter Island was "playable" in adamancipators, so could you play Mega Thunderball in a spright list...😅
Great video, although I think you were a bit harsh on Tainted Wisdom. Not saying it's a good card, but given Big Eye is also in this set there is a way to get knowledge of what your top cards are, so if you know bad things are ahead you can try to avoid it. This at least makes it better than Yado Karu, even if that's a low bar lol.
Still waiting for the meta Mega Thunderball decklist lol. One of my favorite cards back in the day. I always loved the mysterious obscure monsters back in the day. Like what exactly would be the origins of that monster? So interesting to ponder.
It's like... almost all of them, early yugioh pack were so so so fucking bad, with very few very good cards that people still remember, but otherwise complete ass garbage
I guess larvae moth can be used for a tribute for something else, not that its any good. I'm thinking about adding cocoon of ultra evolution and gate guardians combined to me and my friends dm draft packs, just for the off chance of we can actually use gate guardian or great moth as a option
@havierbardem820 yeah it would still end up just being a "it's what we got" option but with the more packs opened the more likely chance it's just not a consideration for sure😂
I'm probably the only one who cares, but this is very biased toward tcg constructed exactly. Mega Thunderball is the cheapest thunder you can password redeem in Forbidden Memories, and it's one of the best cards because of it. Also, if we drafted 40 Metal Raiders cards, I bet the high teens tribute monsters and the slow removal would come in handy. Good list, ofc. Just, like, seen so many people die to Gate Guardian in FM that it's hard not to mention.
the whole petith moth/larvae moth thing is so baffling to me, petit moth never should have had anything to do with these cards and originally it probaly didnt since its artstyle and eastetics dont match up at all, larvae moth should have been the base form with a different effect or even just be a vanilla. i would love to know who was responsible for this decision just so i could ask them what the hell was going through their head when they came up with this idea.
Yeah, idk. The card was made way after the Evolution mechanic existed in the early DM video games, so it was definitely Konami neutering it intentionally.
@@Bijed4Even then, it would need either better stats or a decent effect, as with only 500 attack points, you wouldn't get much value out of it even as a "failsafe" of sorts in such a scenario
@@matthewkuscienko4616 Oh I agree, it would still be terrible. It could definitely have better attack without feeling out of place. I just think it would at least be interesting, if not remotely good in a meta sense, for Cocoon of Evolution to at least provide *something* even if you don't get what you hoped for
What is the worst MRD card in your opinion?
No need to answer. You summed it up perfectly with Larvae Moth.
The worst part about Blast Juggler is that it has to destroy two monsters, not up to two
Oof
It can be useful against Nimble Momonga or Giant Germ, or in some kind of sealed environment where your opponent walls up with low attack monsters

I don't recall any topping decks with it, but I'd love to see one!

And Kaminari Attack is a legit tech on Thunder Dragon.

I've seen some DW builds try it

Your videos are so relaxing to watch. The music, the graphics, the strategy , details the nostalgia m,etc love it
Glad you enjoy them!
💯 agree, wish more YT was still like this
Mega Thunderball is level 2 thunder. Just throw 3 in a Spright deck and, boom, Mega Thunderball deck.
Waiting for the awesome gameplay lol

I see your point... but it IS a tainted card 💀
Naturally, #01 was used by Insector Haga. That feeble twerp...

Someone at Konami just thought a spikey ball looked cool ig lol
at least Tainted Wisdom can be summoned by Tour Guide and has decent attack 😂
Too powerful!
I guess you could use Larvae Moth with Exchange if your really paranoid about your opponent using your own card against you.
I suppose so 😅
Currently watching this after my long night after work. I'm always happy to watch worst card lists x3
Always nice to vent haha
As a kid, Steel Scorpion scared the crap out of me, glad to see it on a worst list, it deserves it for giving me nightmares 😂
@@trevkingston It's a lil spooky
Yado Karu has a fairly decent defense, at least for sealed play, and it can protect you from decking out. Other than that, not much use for that card

In my opinion, Larvae Moth not only a worst monster card from Metal Raiders but the worst monster card in Yugioh.
i like the Larvae Moth design thou
Certainly a fair assessment haha

Daddy Janjo about to metal raid your tainted wisdom 🥵🥵🥵
isnt petit moth the monster worst stats in this set?
Yes, but it's needed for Great Moth so it has a use even if it's a gimmick use.
I love the set , so in my eyes there's no such thing as a bad MRD card!
Seriously though, it's Larvae Moth
If it was a sort of backup that was summoned from deck if an equipped Petit Moth got destroyed, it'd be at least interesting, though
