My heart sunk when you said nobody really gets to visit Lake Castrovalva! That place is the whole reason I wanted to go to Lechiguilla in the first place. Seeing those gigantic shelfstones in real life would be my ultimate destination. You're so lucky you got to see such a dreamscape!
You are so fortunate to research and explore these magnificent cavern systems! I would love an adventure like this! I'm certainly not a scientist or a cartographer... just an artist who desires to capture the beauty of these fantasylands either by camera or through pencil, pen and ink and watercolor compositions! The underground world of caves has fascinated me ever since childhood! The mystery, the lure to discover ancient secrets beneath the earth has intrigued and obsessed me to the point where I am compelled to capture it on paper or canvas!
Did a lot of exploring in Lech and Carlsbad in the 1990s with Don Doucette and his crew from Colorado Springs. Did some wild climbing leads into some spectacular new passage.

Well lit, sharp and nice pacing. You and Keith Edwards are my fave cave videographers on YT. Looking at your gear list though, there's no mention of any light being used. Did you just use the scurion on the parts where you lit up the large rooms?
The problem with trying to view a video so soon after it is uploaded is I'm limited to 360p. I refuse to watch Lechuguilla footage at 360p. It's an insult to the beauty of this cave. So I'll come back in a while once UA-cam has progressed to where it needs to be.
The temperature in Lechuguilla Cave is a constant 67-68F. It feels much warmer though due to the high humidity and exertion required to move through the cave.

Those calcite rafts are amazing. Lechuguilla is so stunning it’s emotionally moving watching this footage.

Yeah, 1080P is usually rendered within ~10 minutes of an upload. My videos are all 4K. Not sure how long before that's available.
@@DerekBristol i can watch all 4k with my 4k Samsung player. All utube videos in 4k can be seen.
