Two wheels. Quadra V-Tech in real life. Cyberpunk 2077. Part 16

- Hi everyone! Today I'll finally change these heavy steel wheels for standard aluminum discs which will be attached between each other. Nevertheless I decided to make double wheels, although in the final version the developers made them simply wide. I like the double ones more, by the way there's no such wide rubber precisely for my arch. But still it'll be possible to put one wide tire on these disks.
This seems to be going more smoothly than the game release.
🤣 facts
Talk about setting a low bar, @ALPHAFERT !!!
But yes, I heartily agree. This guy gets mad props.
oooofffffff
Ha! Got em!
Lol
Man this is easily the coolest custom car project I've ever seen, and it just keeps getting better.
Go find salvage to savage.. doing a twin turbo LS DeLorean 🔥
@@SJ-cy3hp more interestingly, a road rocket electric C10 truck that'll put 1200hp the ground
В России полно таких проектов
@@Ryukachoo those guys have amazing fabrication skills👍🏽
dude this thing just keeps getting cooler! 3 piece wheels? nah lets make a dually
Time for you to make a video game car too?
Rubber should never touch each other on twin wheels, It will overheat on deformations, it's going to fail.
@@zoichikanoe6242 Yeah unfortunately, That's why duallies have the space. Still a neat idea, but he should honestly weld some steel wheels together for it with a bigger offset
Though the tubes in the tires is a great idea
@@diraltmcallister3523 Yap. I'm just truly shocked that something so obvious escaped almost everybody. Especially the guy that made that. He would need 2 separated pairs to redo the job with the space.
That's nuts - love it! The duallies look a lot cooler than the wide singles.
I was just playing cyberpunk thinking about this project
I love your profile picture, I've never seen someone use those before
Your dedication is unmatched, absolutely adoring this series!
Love this project! Keep it coming! There is a condition to be aware of with dual tire vehicles - sometimes if the tires are too close, they will rub against each other while rotating and can melt or cause a fire. There is probably a sweet spot for tire pressure to avoid that, or you could also potentially use a lower sidewall tire or use smaller tires stretch technique that used to be popular before more rigid sidewalls were common. Excited to see the next phase!
This is a Russian guy doing
@@ЖеняШилов-ы9ш im pretty sure he translates the comments. I saw one vid he said “thanks for the feedback…”.
@@Crozzzbonez0 He's got a russian channel with russian comments.
it might not work under driving conditions the sidewalls are so close together that they will rub during the ride and likely wear the rubber off all the way to the corelayers or get so hot that the tires will blow out
to make it work you might need to add a spacer in between the rims to give the sidewalls the room to bulge where the tire meets the road
It should work because the wheels are welded and so they can't move independently of one another - therefore there shouldn't be any fiction between the two. However during normal driving the bumps on the road do cause wheels to 'puff out' a bit, and that's normal, and that action might cause some rubbing problems But I'm honestly not sure because the car probably weighs next to nothing and with TWO tires that weight distribution will be immense and therefore the wheels might not puff out at all during driving.
@@SantitariumHaze in corners the sidewalls deform no matter how hard there pumped up , allso the bulging where the tire meets the road is going to happen no matter how hard you pump up the tire , he could mount narrower tires and stretch them on the rims , that might work too
dont think the car will be driven though think its more of a showcar
@@watahyahknow I didn't think of the cornering, you have a point there. The only real solution I can think of is undoing the welds and putting spacers between the two rims. Give the tires a inch or so of breathing room for flex.
Pretty sure he is gonna go for the single large wheels options in 2 weeks and redo everything all over again
I dont think he will drive this on the freeway lol
Even rockstar energy drink channel didnt make similar quadra car. And you make one. Good job 🔥.
Must be my lucky day. I just found this project yesterday and binged the whole thing and now boom another one
Wish I were so lucky... 😆
I just hope the tyres will endure their use. Usually dually axles have a little bit of space between the tyres, so they don't rub each other. Just look at how it's made on real dually axles.
Furthermore special tyres are used for it, because normal tyres can't handle being on a dually setting.
But the project itself is absolutely awesome!
This is so awesome. You're extremely knowledgeable and skilled with automotive fabrication. I really hope that this project pays off for you!
👍🙂👍
That car is so late 70s
It reminds me of cars like the Canadian made Bricklin sports car.
WHAT IN ALL OF UNHOLY MAD MAX IS THIS GUY BUILDING?
It's called the Quadra V-Tech.
The ingenuity in this is something I've never seen before. I love it.
Can't wait for seing this car running with some rotary sound!
This is so cool...
Man, I cant wait to see this thing done, painted and be driven around!!
I had this old MR2 project car I wanted to re-build into this sort of replica, but due to finances and time I had to sell it… But I’m happy to see that someone else is taking on this dream build of a car. I hope to make my own someday again, but now I have a build series to follow! Great work! 👏👏👏
Until then I’ll build on my Cyberpunk inspired GT4 😅
Yes i just bingewatched the entire series and i will continue to bingewatch every other build on this channel
I do have some functional concern about friction being generated between the touching sidewalls of the tires. Looks super cool though!
Agreed. There will undoubtedly be friction. Those tires won’t last long like that.
Definitely one of the cooler things I’ve seen on UA-cam.
Binged the series yesterday and back to watch again. Definitely tuned in for the next part
I have to agree with your choice of using duel tire configuration. Excellent determination👍
My first thought would be to use dually hubs but I could see how adapting them to an independent rear axle could be a challenge
Quickest way to blow your tires up is letting them rub against each other. They built up heat, wear and blow. They need a working space. Learned the hard way. Keep pushing.
5 lug to 8 lug conversion spacers with some dually wheels would have been easier and much safer.
Every video the car looks cooler & cooler 😎
If you start producing a kind of fiberglass kit I'd love to buy one. This looks great, looking forward to seeing the next ep!
I am loving this so much, and I myself definitely prefer the two tire style over the single stretched tire from the final version of the quadra, the two tie method just gives a more aggressive meaty look and I really like that.
I love that you are doing what I like to be doing!
Congrats. Please keep riding us. This is the best peace of entertainment in the world right now. I’ll love to rode that car just once!
Been following you for about 3 months, totally worth it. Keep the good work.
Can't wait for part 17 I love the Quadra V-Tech and when I noticed that you are building I immediately watched the video. I definitely support the idea of painting it, making the back more like the game and giving it a drive. It's already a pretty badass car imagine how it'll be when it's done!
This is just what he does for fun when he's not perfecting cold fusion or creating dark matter in his basement.
🤣🤣🤣🤣
I swear if there ever was a kit car made I’d buy it 100%
You know tires flex, like a lot while driving. I think you will find the sidewalls will get hot where they touch each other. This heat will cause tires to fail.
I suspect it'll eat tires, but I don't suspect it'll get driven around all that much, either.
Just binged this over a few days, well worth it, I'm autistic and usually have a really hard time with broken English, but you got the point across really well and the project was just so cool I had to keep watching, I'm keen to see more.
i swear, i miss a heartbeat everytime a new vid is uploaded. keep on. this project is so cool.
I like the twin tires too, looks more cyberpunk imo.
lol The narrator sounds like the same guy who does the "How it's Made" videos.
20 years of usage ? No way...the rx8 gor on production in 2003 ! ;-)
amazing! The amount of labor and effort in just 1 video is brutal.
You must have had a lots of coffee, energy bars during the whole period of this episode.
This is so insanely cool and makes me want to play the game even more, very talented and inspiring, great job!
I HATE mig welding aluminum, cleanliness and temperature are so important. Glad it worked out for you!
Tires on a dually should never touch. As weight transfers to the load side it will cause friction and tire failure.
You are right.Tires wont last
This car is going to look amazing!
Wouldn't trust those wheels at all for long term use but it does look damn cool. This project is awesome.
Can't wait to see the translated videos about building the ramp car
Fyi the tires rubbing in the middle will cause them to fail
This video I like. Good feelings of happy time it brings me. The car is good appearing and brings joy to mind in a matter that is pleasing.
I would like to see this in a cyberpunk short movie, or at least in a new ad for the game, or maybe in some promo shots in a gaming mag.
Yay another update!!! ❤️
Oh wait I saw this before it was translated 🤣
Oh well I’ll watch again.
same xD
@@yentelboat5739 😂
translation reveals that this is the end of this project
🤣🤣🤣🤣
This is SICK. I just found this, now I have to go back to the beginning!
This reminds me of a guy called leepu who made cars in london. There was a show called chopshop iirc. It was great and this has similar vibes!
This is quite simply the sickest build ever.
Man I love everything that you're doing .I'm not trying to be a dick or anything but is that a robot narrating 😂😂 sounds like the narrator from how it's made on TLC
I like the project, but I’m a little bothered by the distance between the wheels and the fender arch. It doesn’t look natural to me and I think it should be fixed a bit. Anyway, congratulations on a huge achievement, I am working on one small project, and I already have a problem with completion, and your project is progressing excellently despite the many times larger scale.
I think it's like that because the car is still empty, once he starts filling the interior it's gonna add weight to it and the suspension will go down
@@pistolao_vr yeah true
he also mentions in the video that he could lower the car.
It's on air suspension so he can lower it.
@@pistolao_vr brazilians are everywhere, eai parça
I check your channel almost every day for updates, I am so excited about this project!!
My dude really just said "I'm just gonna make it" and then he did.
When is the update coming. 👍
at first I thought I was going nuts since I've seen this before, then I remembered I watched the non-dubbed version a week ago lol.
I will note, you should use skinnier tires, you need a gap there to prevent the sidewalls from rubbing through each other. Also prevents gravel from getting stuck between the tires.
Indeed, people don't realize how much heat is created by the sidewalls of dual tires rubbing, it's a major cause of tractor-trailer semi fires.
Just found this channel. Absolutely brilliant!! I really like the lamen explanation of what you are doing. Car looks crazy. I’m going to go find your previous videos.
This build… is breathtaking.
Loving the build man keep up the great work
You need to reweld those rims, and use a 75/25 Argon/Helium mix. Your root wasn't fully fused and was super proud.
❤I watched the original version in Russian, I still understood the quality of the work being performed, amazing job, it looks so cool and then you door mechanism is spot-on awesome‼
Take your time but hurry up! I want to see the first start and drive video!
Ah, that explains why the words are 'off'
Just found this build holy moley blown away binge watch me thinks keep up the hard work
Good use of Mazda rx8 wheels, I might try this with my project
waiting for more of this.
Should've welded the wheels together on a pulse setting of the Mig welder. Too bad they don't sell a super wide tire, so you could use that instead of 2 tires per bogey.
“Everything was placed successfully in it’s place”. That means bolting on a wheel.
the sidewalls flex during operation and the sidewalls touching will create heat and tire failure, similar to the rear dual wheels on trucks. It does like really cool but for safety
honestly i like the wide singles more but i think thats really just a preference good work anyway
You made that so much more difficult than it needed to be. Why not just use a dual wheel set up off a truck axle?
because this car doesn't have a truck axle.. totally wrong bolt pattern and wheel size.
@@Collindoesdrifting Truck axle could be fitted to it, but car wheels would need to be adapted to the truck axle anyway. There's a problem in this video and it's the sidewalls touching. They will blow out eventually.
i like the way the car is coming out so far keep up the good work
Those dual tires looks amazing
Dudes got RX8 wheels! Right on!
This is one of the coolest things I've seen in a while, looking super cool. Subscribed just to I can see what happens with this car!
I swear I saw the thumbnail and clicked the like and subscribed emediately.
I was like hold up your making the car from cyberpunk 2077 well danm say less you have my attention.
Are we going to see more? It's not finished and I'm dying to see it done and ripping.
I wonder if those things are going to balance well; probably not, but damn they look cool!
Loving it can't wait to see it done.. such a sick looking car. Keep up the outstanding work.
This whole thing gives me anxiety. But good job doing your thing.
yo, I wanna see part 17
Your a fuckin legend dude!! I always love driving this car in game and I cant believe your building one in real life...super amazing!!!
Wow! UA-cam's reccomondatins are spot on. This is awesome - great work.
So... those tires are going to rub through each other. Love how it looks but not safe if you're going to try and actually drive it.
It's better to call them wheels, I get it's hard to translate from russian sometimes where all round things are disks and all oily things are masla, but keep up with good content!
Awesome I hope the wheel bearings don't fail
This is so fucking cool. I'd flatline someone to see the outcome of this.
Great work man.
This is looking very good. Very excited to see the finished project!
Trully awesome!!
nice work. Watch the distance between tires when rolling. When loaded they probably rub each other
you're trying to pull your puddle..... you want to push your puddle, that way you're always pointing at where your going and that pre-heats it
Congratualtions. Your project is amazing. I wish i had your skills of expertise to create something like that. Can't wait to see what you will do next.Keep up your amazing work
Epic built and skills!
Love this man work!
Looks amazing can't wait for you to get it driving
Insane amount of effort
"Everything was placed successfully in it's place" we are so close to universal translation
I cant wait to see this completed!
Youre Ideas are very crazy. I like it.
