Today we are unboxing the Roman starter set for Clash of Spears.
Gerry takes a look at the large force that Victrix have prepared within this box. From sprues to unit cards he goes through everything. There's fine detail on the miniatures themselves although Gerry guides you through some assembly details that might be helpful for the cavalry.

Having bought many Victrix models, I am very impressed with the quality. From the start it's seems daunting to put things together but it all makes sense once you start. Looks like I'm adding this box set to my current bunch...

Nice looking set of miniatures and you have to perform surgery to build your musician for the unit.
Are the sprues in these Clash of Spears boxed sets identical to the ones in the Victrix boxes? I was looking at picking up some Gallic warriors on Victrix's website, but then I found that getting the Clash of Spears Gallic boxed set would be way more cost effective. Are the CoS warband boxes of the same quality and sculpt as their Victrix counterparts? I have plans to use leftover Victrix Viking heads to make some of the Gauls into Germanic tribesmen, and would be disappointed to discover their incompatibility.
