It is only strange we celebrate a new year in the midst of winter and not at the beginning of spring: like nature, in winter we rest, in spring we start with new plans and projects and blooming and creating. It’s so normal you feel this way - also not every year is about gigantic projects, sometimes it’s a year where you learn to rest and relax and get to know yourself in silence, which is just as a big accomplishment as big business things. Susie!! The best decision I've made this month is creating a 'goals bingo card' or a 'new years resolution bingo card' - I make my goals small and achievable, and when I get to cross them off I give myself small rewards, or big ones if I cross off a line! I've ticked off 6 boxes out of 25 already!

I have just started the audio book manifest but honestly just listen to the first few chapters. All abt positive thinking. This week I cried at work but instead of saying I had a crap day I just said I had a bad 15 mins. 💘
Someone told me once that you can never grow into the best version of yourself if you don’t accept who you are right now first. For example with the gym, if you are constantly thinking about the end goal (whatever that may be for you) you are never going to appreciate the journey or feel content. We shouldn’t feel like we’re constantly in this “chase” for something better. Love yourself for who you are.
Ok I started this a while ago in 2024 and I really recommend anyone to a version of it, I have a 10 pm screen-time/social media cut off before bed AND I don’t let myself go on my phone 30 minutes after I first wake up except for work messages. This helped my anxiety and sleep sooo much.

This is so relatable. I used to be chronically depressed but have had the best mental health of my life in the last year+. It scared me so much when I started to feel a bit depressed just last week… luckily I cleansed my energy and felt so much better- also made sure to keep up the things that make me feel better like hygiene, gym, good food (with enough protein) etc. 🩷
Janauary in the northern hemisphere is hard. it's my first winter here since moving from Australia and it's really helped to hear you talk through some of the stuff ive been feeling too this month. and judging from the comments a lot of others are too

Happy new year susieeee. My goal this year is to exercise twice a week (at least) and be on my phone less (like less than 3 hours of screen time each day 🤧) I actually deleted my whole instagram account at the start of the month and i also feel 1000% better. I don't miss it at all. I realize now just how much time i was spending on it every day and i was not focusing on my real life. I totally get how u feel about winter blues...my birthday is in january and it seriously stinks because the weather is bad, everyone is sick/depressed and nobody wants to party ugh. but i try to be more intentional with my time in the winter, like plan more outings or host friends more. I had a collage party the other week with my friends to make our 2025 mood boards and it was so fun! i also use winter to do more indoor activities like reading / cleaning my house / cooking. Things that i dont feel like doing when its nice out later in the year and i want to be outdoors :P

One thing I realllly underestimated was CHECKING MY VITAMIN D LEVEL. For me it was always the lowest in January (checked with my doctor of course) and it really does make a difference in terms of mental health, seasonal depressive episodes. Obv it‘s not the only solution but may help some. X
