If you have a lot of arctic or boreal ancestry, the carnivore diet might work better. Because your ancestors ate meat heavy diets for generations upon generations.
However carnivore diet will likely lead to serious illness and disease. Especially for people whose ancestors ate a fair amount of grains and starches. Which is most people.

Animal produce is the easiest to digest food source for humans. I tried carnivore (got bored of it so stopped) and my digestion had never felt better. Went vegan aswell for a time and felt absolutely rotten and bloated constantly, as all I was eating were carbs and fibre to feel full.

They foraged for everything you can imagine. Meat was a rarity. Hunting was inherently dangerous. You're not eating the right combinations of foods. Ouch. Carbs and fiber to feel full.
@ronagoodwell2709 Calling meat a rarity in our ancestors diet is a bit of a stretch. Certainly it varied by region but many groups, such as the paleo-indians, seem to have eaten primarily meat, following the mega fauna of the americas from place to place.
@@jr8260 Not a stretch at all. Archeological evidence shows clearly that most of the diet of early hominids was from foraging. True there was a bonanza period during the Pleistocene when the megafauna were (probably) hunted into extinction, but it was always a boom or bust proposition. Hunting was dangerous. Any injury would mean almost certain death. Foraging was reliable and prevalent.
