How to STOP GROUND AND POUND

- There are many MMA techniques that help stop ground and pound. I wanted to focus on the Deashi Harai as a tool we can better use to off-balance our opponent and prevent ground and pound. We have to remember that the goal is always to off-balance, and change the angle!

This is great and original stuff man thank you! Could you make a video about escaping the HIGH mount while taking punches ? I think lot of people would like it and there is barely no video about it on youtube!
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed
Ricardo Lamas underrated af. He did some really interesting weird guard stuff Vs mirsad bektic from the bottom.
There's a video called Freak Guards by Jack Slack that showcases interesting bottom players in MMA worth checking out
I'll definitely check the video out
@@StevenStranglesPeople love the channel bro, lmk what you think of the video
Saw Gordon Ryan do this and I thought to myself no way it’s that simple, first time I tried it in practice it worked (grabbed the hip instead of knee for a back take) 2nd time on the same guy who expected it I got a good reaction
I have never seen someone with your bjj, wrestling and mma skills so well blended. I was wondering how you are such a wizard and I looked you. You have quite the pedigree. You should make some instructionals. Like how blend bjj with wrestling
I definitely would be interested in doing proper long form instructionals. Just waiting for the right opportunity.
Hay bro nice vids man. Always on your channel . From Australia WA. Hopefully you could do 2 -3 vids a day
The Spider from his back or Jones.
Thank you buddy
Im not sure what to do after the chop sui, should I follow with the hayabusa or finish with a sushi?
Sashimi
Personally I like to spin under snatch the ankle up and start working on leg submissions underhook from in between their legs and use it to hold them while you get the figure 4 on the upper leg. Also your entire body is in the way and you’re purposely trying to straight leg them so that helps to not be punched in the face
Bro could you show some Danaher level/high percentage techniques for clearing the near side arm in side control? Also if you could talk about that concept of grabbing the hips first and then going back into the leg and make the guy's knees turn away so that his near side arm is lifted off the ground and he has no frames before you start to crawl up for the crossface/underhook. I tried to go back into the legs but I was bad at making those knees point away.
I'll definitely try and get to it !
Demian Maia, underhook sweep, overhook game and he gets the single with the leite hook a lot. How do you feel about butterfly in Mma? There’s a fight between Islam Makhachev and Arman Tsarukeyan that highlights wrestling and butterfly. Preciate the vids, hope I can Train with you one day.
I think the butterfly guard is underutilized in MMA. Sumi Gaeshi works wonders, but isn't fully understood.
I'll definitely rewatch the right. I remember it being an outstanding battle.
Glad you enjoyed the video! Hope to see you on the mats one day!
I tried this during mma sparring with some dudes who are ranked high in northeast pro and Ammy rankings, I used it to off balance and get up. This worked well, thank you.
@@Oexciting Glad it helped!
Micheal bisping guard is very underrated
I do recall him being pretty active from his back. Very aggressive from bottom.
Anderson Silva is the best on his back if u seen the fight were he was getting dominated he managed to triangle choke his opponent
Chael Sonnen fight. Anderson is very slick and good at preventing damage.
UFC is Frank mir and verdum then in other venues the given is roger Gracie and vinnny magalhaes.
Very good choices!
