I was never into SNOW WHITE, but if you're going to USE a name/ title to harness unearned energy for your project, you can expect that energy to turn back on YOU, if your project is not compatible with the energy source you're trying to tap. And if what they were making is a complete overhaul (the way they seem to tout it as being), it was guaranteed to be incompatible with the people who enjoyed the original. Just make a new movie, and you avoid the expectations... but I guess the piggy back ride was too tempting
Since when does Disney care what the audiences think? If they don't like their products, just have the movie staff together with journalists come out and call the audiences "-ists" and "-phobes" for not liking their movie, and move on to the next movie. Disney has been aoe farming Ls for the past 10 years or so, and it doesn't seem to seriously affect their bottom line as they make that money back from the parks and IPs.
Kinda makes the recent box office win of Sonic 3 against Lion King 2 even more poetic. The sequel of a movie that listened to their fan base against a company who just lost touch of their fan base.
I mean, yes, it is rewriting the story. But so was the 1937 Snow White. Even the Brother's Grimm made changes to the story (in the first edition of Grimm's Fairy Tales of 1812, it was the mother that wants to kill Snow White, in the final edition of 1857 it's the stepmother). Don't get me wrong, I don't think we need another movie made from that story (The wikipedia article currently lists 25 live action versions, adult versions not included), but thinking that a story that has been around for several centuries (including a long oral tradition throughout Europe) shouldn't be changed just because one version was written down or made into a movie just seems wrong to me.
Disney continues to strip mine their IP. Develop something new. I mean, a Moana sequel and live action movie are going to be in back to back years. That's how bad it's gotten.
Was this written by a Ziegler simp? Everything about this is bad, not one thing about this is good. And that word MoDeRn aUdIeNcE, plus nobody was positive about this. Nobody said anything about this movie being anything but trash.
She forgot the most important thing. To be humble. Instead her echo chamber re-enforced her beliefs and then abandoned her.
What? This strong independent woman can´t handle the consequences of her actions? What a shocker.
Are Snow White trailers with Zegler technically Disney trailer trash?
More like College Campus woke trash?

Zegler needs to be blacklisted!

This is why you don't remake classics.
This is why you don't take a fat steaming shit on classics, they can be remade just fine, but not like this.

I won't watch any future films with Rachel Zegler in them. She is not a good person.
